This is a short video showing how we install an Anti Theft Catalytic Converter Cable Clamp. Using HD cabling we can protect your cat from being stolen. This is highly effective and real world proven.
They need to arrest the metal scrap yards that pay for these. They are basically paying for the thieves to steal these the legal way. How dumb can the government be
They’re not dumb at all they’re extremely intelligent. Why aren’t you smart enough to see that this is the reason why this whole system is set up this way is to make the business owners rich OK the people who own businesses they get rich they don’t have to honor these fucking laws, but the people who do the stealing do. Why haven’t open your eyes yet in realize this??? you’re calling the most powerful government on earth dumb how stupid can you be?
😂😂😂 in your dreams, buddy. This isn’t gonna do a damn thing bro go on RU-vid and look up catalytic converter failures. bro, all these people are coming up with different techniques but with all you people failed to realizes no matter what they do to the catalytic converter no matter what they put on it or around it will cut right through just like cut through everything else even this video right now think about it you guys think this is a deterrent, but the Saul was gonna cut right through those cables like nothing😂😂😂😂 like the fucking catalytic converter cages didn’t work this damn sure ain’t gonna work, but at the very least it’ll make you feel like you’re protected it’ll make you feel like you did something and they win in the end because you give them their money for this bullshit that is not gonna work if someone actually decides to steal your cat
Now that's a piece of art & workmanship. Hopefully Cat thieves will think twice before stealing it. I wish I could set a trap like a spring trap for animals that'll catch the hands of the thief when he's cutting the Cat. Just a thought.
I like that. Elegant, simple, and inexpensive. I see that the bolts on the clamps are spot welded. Not impossible to get the converter out but a great visual deterrent and likely would make them take some extra time.
I think the problem with this is that the clamps that are holding the cable securely against the pipe which makes it easier to saw through. The commercial Cat Clamp system is similar but difference is the steel rings that elevate the cable off the pipe which makes the cable to harder to saw through since they are not held against the pipe but are elevated (and loose to move around) off the pipe. to know for sure you'd have to saw through your set up to see how much time it would take.
Not really. Saw one already hit. Im gona have our programmer write up a program for a drawing i made, it's pretty easy to come up with. Just need the right material. Like corten.
Just caught a guy trying to steal mine off my 09 Silverado. He got met with the G19 to his face. As i was calling the police he ran. Obviously cant tap a dude whos unarmed but he definitely won't come to my house again. Only problem is now i got to band clamp back the rear exhaust to the catalytic converter
There's these cheap little tags that I seen that come with an app that alert your phone soon as there is any type of motion that moves an object like a door or for this instance your car moving up or down. Put some tags right under your car so with a jack lift it'll make the tag sense motion and you will get a notification on your phone & can go outside and see what is going on.
I think the opposite is true, as heat is transfered to the cables, it will help dissipate the heat instead, but may give you -(1/2)mpg, I think I like the idea of using used appliances metal, to create a belly pan instead, that will help improove my fuel efficiency instead
@@GilbertMotorServiceAlhambra you do know as a mechanic that those fucks are also using portable cutoff wheels. Like Milwaukee. You probably have one in the shop. Go see how fast one of those cables can be cut. Youl see what i mean. Im goin with ar500 plate, idc il find something nice n thick. Then il weld my vin to the outside of the cat... Theres MANY ways to piss off a thief, but thats not a good one in my opinion. Just an opinion tho. We have to stick it to these bastards one way or another
Got hit today. Honestly i think theres portable tools that cut through that like butter. I already seen one get yanked. I won't feel bad when i catch this guy either. Il find him. Junkies aren't exactly smart people.
Yeah but sparks are gonna shoot brighter than the vegas strip and the sound of your grinder tool struggling to cut the hardened steel will be louder than hell. You would have the entire block calling the cops. Because also that steel wire is flexibal, its gonna jump around and skip on your aBrAsIve WhEeL
@@livi7687 Negative. You obviously have zero experience with a bonded wheel. Sparks, yes. Noise, no more than that of a bi-metal recip saw. Wire rope are stainless steel strands and not hard whatsoever. Easy as f.
There is still plenty of room to cut the clamp , al you have done is nothing to stop the thief’s 🤣, how ever it would be impressive if you had lazer beam switch that switched the flame 🔥 thrower on under neath the whole car id feel so much better coming back to my car that was burnt to a crisp knowing the thief is still there and unable to steal anything again , opposed to not knowing what scum bag stole my cat and wrecked my car , on some rear wheel drive cars I have seen them written of after the theft becouse of the saws they use have cut the tunnels and brake lines etc
oh my God and you know it’s even worse. I can tell you exactly how the thieves are going to get rid of this thing. Look at the bolts.!!!!! do you see how long those bolts are?? a grinder will cut through all that shit like guys a grinder and sawzawl will literally cut through anything. Your eyes are looking at right now.
Catalytic converter’s cost about $3000 to replace, including parts, labor, and the inevitable damage caused by the thieve’s metal cutting saw. That looks like about $50 worth of parts. Mostly a visual deterrent but it could work.
@@rjmorgansd $5000 if it's a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Got mine stolen 11/10/2021 and was without wheels until 2/14/2022 because of shipping issues.
