I love this! Instead of coming up with a prompt and catching pokemon to fit that prompt, you blindly catch a bunch of pokemon and then you have the prompt and must choose from what you've managed to catch in 20 minutes.
While I love the wheel, i feel like it makes no sense if you can just skip out cause you don’t have the type and just get another one when it comes around. Cause at that point you can just choose 6 pokemon to catch and wait for the wheel to tell you when to choose them. Next time I do believe if you don’t get the type on the wheel then your opponent gets to choose a pokemon that fits that type for you, so you still get a mon but it will just hinder you instead.
I agree. The only way they wouldn't be able to get a mon is if like shady got urshifu and then pat spinned both dark and fighting because then shady wouldn't be able to land on either of them since they would be off the wheel. But since they can both just skip a type if they don't wanna take a mon they have of that type or they just repack pretty much if they don't have a mon or that type kinda makes the wheel spinning KINDA pointless
instead of just going with nothing, it'd have been more interesting if the other person gets to pick a pokemon of that type for you to use for one where you didnt have a pokemon
Nice battle, I honestly expected that to be a blow out. Also Vivillion is a sleeper pick 94% accurate sleep powder plus quiver dance can do some insane damage
I really lvoed this. Really really loved this. Not only did we get to see everyone get their pokemon, but we got to see them choose randomly to see which one they used as well.
0:06 "you have all the other ones that aren't as good" then proceeds to show one of the most defensive types im pokemon history, a type with only 1 weakness and can hit water and flying for super-effective (2 common types) and a great offensive type that can hit steel, rock, dark, ice and normal for super-effective but sure not as good
Question for everyone, don't you think it would be more enjoyable to catch everything with masterballs? the challenge is not to have catch rate, the challenge is to see what incredible team they can get mixing types so, noticing (Landorus) that some of them couldn't be caught or forcing some of them to be less interesting (Vivillon oops edited) doesn't make it more appealing to me in specific, what do you guys think?
To me it depends of if there is a timer or not, if it has a timer 1 masterball is acceptable because it makes you think on your feet if it's better to waste it on the pokemon or if you already used it it makes you question if you catch the pokemon or just look for another, if it has no timer all masterballs is better because the challenge is more of exploring and seeing what you can find rather than catch rate and time management.
I like the idea of you can catch your Pokemon with Masterballs, but with the catch that you limit Legendaries and Pseudolegendaries. That way there's still luck involved with this challenge as to whether the wheel lands on a good type for you or not. Maybe for Scarlet and Violet, add on a paradox Pokemon limit, as well, but that's not always as necessary.
i don’t like master balls as much,, i like them having to fight the timer cuz it makes them have to make tough decisions like with the landorus and galarian moltres, and go for pokémon they otherwise might not and we get to see different mons,, otherwise it’s just the same few pokémon over and over all the time across different videos and different channels because some pokémon are just way better than others,, i like the niche picks, the variety, coming up with cool ways to make a mon better than its perceived
Idea: If you run out of time your opponent gets to choose any Pokémon of that type to put in its place. Otherwise you could theoretically catch 6 perfect Pokémon with little penalty

You know it's funny Patterrz, but as you said "Everyone has their favorite type, you've got your Fires and your Darks and the rest that aren't as good" My only thought was how my two favorite Pokemon are Typhlosion and Umbreon. Like you read my mind
