Sadly, all our hills are counter clockwise, so we don’t get haggis, but I’m hoping to arrange a hunt later in the year when haggis are in season up in the Cairngorms, where many of the hills are clockwise 😉

@@westhighlandtraditionalarcher Now that’s strange as here in our Cumbrian fells they are clockwise, must be diff species.

It was hard going, he was a wile little critter, took all my tracking skills to keep up with him 🤣

For me it’s not the shooting of the stumps that’s the hard work, it’s the dragging them back home to put in the freezer that takes it out of me, freshly dispatched wild chilli con carne is a great source of energy, just what you need before dragging a stump home 🤣

Bow hunting is illegal throughout the UK, presumably thanks to the actions of irresponsible fools. We often hear of waterfowl with crossbow bolts stuck in them, leaving the poor creatures with horrific injuries, which gives you an idea of what would happen if bow hunting were legalised. Sadly the UK has more than its fair share of idiots, and in order to limit the destruction they cause, the government has opted for a blanket ban rather than actually focusing resources towards removing the idiots from society, lazy policing.
