My grandad always wanted to go to wards we was supposed to go but always said we would go next week for two years but keep fishing everywhere else then he got sick then he died the next year so yes get out there and try at least to fish every carp lake at least once life is short so live it to the fullest
2 rods is the way all lakes should be. Its the way it was 20 years ago. I dont understand the beepers and never have since 1992. Winter fishing or river fishing then maybe or turn the sound off and have the straws that light up especially at Wards where it is usually never slow. You had a good night and a good draw always helps.
Out of curiosity, why reel in a fish with your pole parallel to the ground? Is there an advantage to that? I was done on the first carp. It got off right by the bank

Looks like you haven't fished Ward's yet. The lake is shallow and it's IMPOSSIBLE to not get into your neighbors lines at times. But we all know that if we've fished it any.
@@cracker476 Thats sitting down on $1800 draw...good bait and a bad draw doesnt equal $$. Fished there a couple years ago with same bait as partners, but they were 10 spots down and won $2,000 and our end won $0. Its more about the spot than it is the bait most of the time.
Sorry to say, but you guys are running 25 years behind us carpfischers in europe; If you guys wanna have huge carp in the future you must start to threat the carps much better. You catched a big carp and you lay the fish on small rocks. This is verry bad for the fish. Buy a safe and soft unhook pad where you can lay youre fish on to onhook him on a safe pad. A safe pad that is not hurting the fish like on this rocks. In the grass its oke but not on rocks. that fish will probably die because of you dont have a soft pad to lay the fish on. THREAT youre Carps better guys , then you will have bigger carp in the future.
I understand what you are saying 100% but me doing it at a a paylake is not gonna make the 1000’s of other guys do it.🤷🏼♂️ nobody uses unhooking mats at these paylakes but i will have one in the near future.

If they all would follow youre good intentions, you wil catch in 5 yeras much bigger carps. Here in belgium a 20 pounder is normal. In casual lakes and a channal, you can expect carp from over 30 pound. And we treating our carp verry good . So have A nice catch and thanks for writing me
hi again, Dont mind the others , youre doing it wright. You could go to the owner of the pound. If they all use a unhook mat, he dont have to replace every year new fish.. this is a win win operation. You guys wil have bigger carp and the owner dont have to buy every year new carp. I knnow it is difficuld to changeother people customizes. BUT if you start , MAYBE others will follow. It hurted me to see that big carp lying in those sharp rocks. Brrrr You can see european carpfishers they all use it. I know I dont have to convince you. Give the wright example and with a little luck somme will follow you. @@cracker476 I 'll give somm tips to catch more, dont use anny bait longer then 15 minits. bring with you a lot of kind of baits. Dont forget the sweet corn. In a corn is a little pit. this pit is verry important. If you rag the sweet corn on youre hook be shore the little pit is stil inside the corn.. If you mix sommething with water , be shure to use water from the lake where you fishing. NOT water from home ! ! ! ! !
