Was chasing snook for third day in a row off this pier. Snook bite was slim but SURPRISE, big ass cobia decides to take me for a ride. Killer fight, super fun, so much excitement getting this sucker in.
I love cobia fishin'. If they were common like snook at the beach that's all I'd fish for. They fight so good and taste great on the grill. I'm binging on your videos and loving them. I gotta get back down there, missing fishin' is the worst. Hopefully in December or January.. That's a tie for my nicest cobia. It's been 20 years of so, too long.
Nice fish, one of my favorites to eat. Have not seen them caught very often around here, maybe one a year. Only ever see them in abundance north a bit following the big rays around.
Im headed to Bradenton for 10 days leaving on the 3rd. Is there a local baitshop or a place to rent a pole or buy? Is the fishing decent this time of year?
The fishing is heating up right now for sure. As far as renting/buying a pole I don't know about that. The flats and inlets are producing better than the surf right now.
Congratulations on the catch. That was awesome!!! What’s not awesome is the language…. I won’t be able to watch through any of your other videos if that’s the norm
