Tears just streamed from my eyes as the cabinet opened and Anita came out alive. Is the anything better that human societies can do to minimise as much as possible (....) such horrific events?

These predators need life behind bars no doubt about that

I'm 25 minutes from Kokomo and remember when this happened. If only every case had a happy ending like this one.

This lady is a genuine nice person. The terrible experience she had with this guy have made her be more cautious now. You can still be a genuine nice person but a guarded nice person.

Unbelievable story. I was so happy when the officers opened that metal cabinet and she was alive and jumped up. I am so glad that Victor got what he deserved and can never do this again to another woman. May he rot in hell, and thanks to all the officers and FBI for doing such an awesome job in finding Anita. They all worked so hard and it paid off.

The whole video, prayed that she was alive and somehow had an instinct that she was alive since the way the video was presented was different from other episode. Give me goosebumps when they found her. I love happy ending in a real life story.

We always tend to exaggerate police mistakes but imagine without their absolute devotion what the criminals would do to the people. These guys not only they are smart but they just don't give up. They are like surgeons saving people in a different way

15:19 No polygraph test ever consists of only two questions. It's a pretty weird statement, because that's just not how polygraph tests work. There's a whole process of asking questions trivial to establish a baseline for the subject. They need to also ask benign questions, about the incident, that they know the answers to, so they can establish what the truth about a stressful event looks like from the subject.

What a sicko. Bless you Anita in your life. I pray that helping others you will also heal. I didn't get help from anyone when I was carjacked and kidnapped, drugged, raped, and near death when they got scared and left me at an ER. I didn't want to press charges because I was too traumatized at the time and didn't want to put myself and my family through the ordeal of dragging it all out in public court. I know God saw everything and I leave it in his hands.

Every time I think I missed anything, I rewound so I wouldn't miss anything important to the story, I was totally involved.

Damn im only a hour south of Kokomo. In 2014 my GF went missing and was found a few months later dismembered in a old cemetery behind a gravestone called Cinderellas grave, her heads never been found. She was absolutely stunning and was beautiful on the inside as well but she trusted the wrong person and it cost her life. The man that killed her was a police officer, he got away with her murder and about 4 years after he killed my girlfriend he kidnapped another girl and her boyfriend showed up at his house cause that was the address she went to sell clothes. Wen he got there a confrontation ensued and the dude shot him. The neighbor seen him shoot that dude snd called police 🚔, when they arrived they found the dude that was shot and that ex cop and the women was barricaded inside the home . Eventually he surrendered and the girl was found in a makeshift holding cell in his basement and they also found a skeleton of another girl down there. POS was never convicted of my girls murder so she never got justice but at least that POS is in jail and if he ever get out and I pray he does ill be paying him a visit

48:45 Listen to that officer then watch his facial expression, see how he is looking inwards as he talks, and within 15 seconds the emotions begin welling up and the guy is holding back tears, he is becoming emotional at the girl being saved, that she is alive, and he helped get her back where she always will belong. I emplore everyone to get a firearm and a few hundred rounds of ammo for home defense. Especially if your a single woman and especially you a single mom. Police and 911 will not save you, even if you get to make a call to 911 you still gonna have to survive till they get there. Wen you call 911 you'll be able to tell em send the police 🚔 and ambulance 🚑 cause the intruder gonna need it 😂 Its your God given right to be able to protect yourself and your family 👪!! She is so lucky to be alive i pray she can one day heal, that man destroyed another women's life for the rest of her life and he got 8 yrs and our system just let's them right back out to do it again and what do they typically learn? Leave no witnesses next time, that's it! Everyone be safe, do not open your doors, keep everything locked, don't come within reach of anyone they can talk from 6ft away, keep your kids close!! And never let any1 mark your child as a bad kid, because predators are watching and all your saying to them is no one will believe that one
