How could this not be sporting? Thought catching fish was the idea..Seems when you're on the water the cats are on the clock. As usual puts a smile on my face.
I always carry a couple dozen little party balloon’s in a small zip lock. I always carry white balloons and toss a dozen of those little glow stick in the bag too. At night, break the glow stick and drop it inside the white balloon before you blow it up. Looks like a soft white light bulb you can see for miles. Watching RU-vid now learning how to make one of those giant swans by twisting them long balloons like the clowns do. I want a 20 pound blue to try and drag down a 2 foot tall ballon swan lit up with 20 glow sticks in it🤔. Love you videos, appreciate the hard work (video editing), I’m just plain jealous of the fishin part.
I know you've mentioned it before, but I can seem to find it. What reels are you using? I run a catfish guide service at Lake Tawakoni Texas, and I am looking for a good reel for winter time drifting for big blues, but wondering how these might work for "fun size" in the summer months. Is it overkill for 1-5 pound eaters we usually target in the spring and summer? Thanks and keep up the great work. I rarely if ever miss a video.

Use the same system. Only use 2m(6ft) leadcore 35lbs. Great video again. After watching, always like to jump in my kayak and hit the river. Thank you Justin.

we have always said when when the blackberry's start changing color the catfish start going shallow in the mornings. we catch on a big float about 3 foot deep and cast as close to the bank as possible. After 10am we start going deeper. Been doing that for the last 30 years. Same thing as the old timers say about when the dogwoods bloom the crappie get on there beds.

Great technique. That looks like a great area for bass. I always think you have to be on or near the bottom when fishing for catfish but you’ve shown that’s not always the case. Very informative.
You had wished me luck for my fishing trip today. I was on a super chat with you last night. Caught a nice 3lb flat head in the shallow water with a soft plastic crawdad.
I used to catch channel carfish on cigarette filter butts at Indian Lake, Oh. The lake is very shallow about 8 to 10 foot. I got off work at the Amusement Park and on the way home spotted a family vacationing (their good looking daughter) was out fishing with her family. I wantef to talk with her not being interrupted by fish. I caught about 4 cats before i decided to put a filter on the hook. Caught 2 or 3 more cats before I just laid my pole down so we could talk!! Have you ever heard of using Cigarette Filters as bait?? Proves cats when hungry they will bite on anything!!

Have you had experience with a smaller river flowing not effecting the bite as bad during the spawn, cause we went Saturday night and the temps were right but it was nonstop , flathead and blues. Nothing huge but a couple fish in the high 20s
How do you like those new rods , the ones match your line , the green ones. They seem like they get bend even with smaller fish , and of coarse the look great!
Justin, I'm a novice at this and I am learning a lot from your videos, so thanks! I'm in eastern Montana where we only have channel cats and bullheads. What is your opinion on catching crawfish to use for catfish bait? I'm fishing from a motorized canoe.
Loudon is my home water as well. My buddies and I have been having a rough go of getting cats from the bank during the spawn. I'm going to be taking my kayak out soon to try and hit creeks for some skipjack. If you've got any advice on hooking up skips in the summer, I'd love to hear it/see it in a video!
I love trolling myself with plugs. Iv never done it for catfish although I'd really love to try your techniques and how you fish for catfish. Trolling is not a lazy way of fishing in my eyes by no means
The birds nest the getting lines tangled that's all part of fishing. and i for one do not mind watching it it shows both the good and bad if you only showed the good bites with no hassles i would not watch that's some fake made for tv crap. good job brother keep your baits wet
