On this trip, I was extremely excited to get back on the water after spending some time traveling with my family! After take some time off from fishing Lake Houston, I headed out to chase those elusive crappie! I had no idea where they were hiding or what kind of pattern they were on, nor did I realize that the rain was going to roll in and run me off the water! Rain in Houston can be unpredictable, and a 80% chance can produce no rain while a 30% chance could result in the sky opening up! And on this trip, that's exactly what happened! Either way, I was glad to be back on the home lake, and was even more glad to put some fish in the boat.
