Great video. I learned a lot from this. I don't know what will be close to shore in late September, but that's when I'll be on the shore of lake Michigan.

Surf fishing is a lot of fun, I wish the fish were bigger to put up a better fight. I use similar set up as you Fray, floating spawn and fish off bottom but for steelhead when they start staging for their winter run upstream. Awesome video my friend, unfortunately the season is coming to an end.

Do you think they are still hitting? I’m planning on going out tomorrow. Guy at the tackle shop last week told me 1-2 year old cohos are hitting from shore. I’m in Milwaukee btw. Guys seem to be getting on them hopefully I’m not too late!
