Here in Alabama you’d have to split that worm n half to get to the right profile. I’m talking the smallest minnows you can find and get a hook in and keep it alive. We use the smallest diameter wire hook we can find, 10lb test braid and 10ft 4lb floro leader. Ultra sensitive rods are a must for that kind of fishing.
Those fish ain’t super fat but they’re in super great shape for whole frying. I scale all my crappies even when filleting and fry the skin, so much better flavor. I also save the bones and fry them as well and use a fork to get the meat off the bones, usually goes into gumbo or something similar. I utilize every part of the fish in some way. The heads go either into trapping bait or the garden and all guts go into the garden. My garden has produced significantly more since I started doing this. I’ve also noticed that putting late summer scraps in the garden allows me to grow some veggies longer into the fall where we live here in the south. Another great video as always bro. I’m just sharing how I do things I’m not by any means saying everybody needs to do things my way. I commented on another channels video and shared what I do and got drilled by a few snowflakes for “ telling folks their way was wrong because I done things differently”. I think it’s wonderful we can all share techniques and ideas on here.
Diggin it man. Just a video idea; I’ve heard that saving the scales of a few and chumming the water supposedly fires crappie up a little bit. You might could debunk or experiment with some old wives tales as far as fishing
You have three locators on the front of your boat> Where are the tranducers set for all three? Do you run all three off the same battery? Any troubles with this set up? How many locators do you have on the back of your boat? Love your videos.

Some estimates seem reasonable... but others, there must be some significant optical distortion between what you're seeing and what your camera is picking up.... haha Regardless... That shite is high tech but ain't nothing wrong with catching fish whether to eat or for fun. If I had one I'd use it lol , plenty of time's I've been fishing and don't catch nothing. But just good to be on the waters edge chillin. 👊💀🍻🇺🇲🍻
Great vid! How about trying bacon or little pieces of hot dog for catching panfish. I am trying to fish without killing earthworms. I know worms are the very best bait, but I don't want to kill live bait. I'm trying to be a fishing Buddhist....
It didn't seem to matter...blue or green they wanted both. Live Scope is awesome. When I bought my new boat I told my wife the price per pound just went up.
Enjoyed this video. Just a suggestion, should have swapped jig and gummy position to see if that made a difference. I'd like to see one using Crappie nibbles and attractants.
