I use small baits in the summer when the bite gets really tough. Sometimes it's the only thing they will hit. I pour my own plastics and I do hand ties so I have alot of options. I really enjoy your crappie videos.

One thing I haven’t played around with much is hair jig. I have some but I guess I’m more confident in plastic. Thanks for watching!

Man I love your videos, very easy to listen to. I fish old hickory and peircy priest when i can get out. Wanting to try some cappie fishing. Would the loop knot be benificial for say a swimbait when bass fishing?

I’ve played around with it some but most of the stuff we use in the bass world is heavy enough it doesn’t make as much of a difference. It does have its place though. Thanks for watching!

So, I have just found your channel, and enjoy your easy going tips on being better at catching crappie. Are you dragging your jig on the bottom of the brush pile? Are they sitting at the bottom? Or is your jig catching them on the way down? Do they bite stuff on the bottom? Obviously they bite what you are presenting, and I am envious of both your weather and your fishing skills.
@BrandonLesterFishing
@BrandonLesterFishing Год назад
I am reeling my bait just above the brush pile and the fish are coming up and eating it as it comes by. Check out some of my other videos for a more in depth look. Thanks for watching!

Freaky Frank's mean green freak worm and 1/32 with 1/32 weight above. Small baits stay in the strike zone longer and give better presentation. I'll be picking up these Bobby Garland baits soon. Thanks.

@@BrandonLesterFishing understood. On another note only got through to the point where all u did was look at the live scope non stop. That lite u r telling everyone about will work a lot less with out live scope. U make ur audience think that if the bite is tough that lure will get them to smack. The problem is that u need to inform ur audience ,which most of will not have live scope, that they don’t stand a chance unless they can video game fish and watch their bait on a live scope monitor and literally see the hit. Let be honest here if it was that easy u wouldn’t be looking at that screen literally every cast 🤦‍♂️. Either way I’ll give u credit at-least u r throwing them back unlike most crappie fisherman live scoping them to non existence
