I have a ruptured eardrum too and when it gets infected I can't even explain how much it pains for the first two days... It is common for some liquid stuff to come out at that time, just keep cleaning it from time to time so that the liquid dries and if the flow is very high then put a piece a cotton inside his ear. There's temporary loss of hearing as well during this time for some people. Also, it is normal for the ear to pain when you put eardrops, I know what Ravi must be going through but that's how it it is. And v imp. just make sure that water doesn't get inside his infected ear while he takes bath.
But aditi i am a covid patient myself , all the symptoms your father had are similar to mine. My dad and my brother also are covid patients and the doctor told me the main symptom is loss of taste n smell. I had no taste for almost a month. I would request you to keep monitoring the symptoms as tests can come false negative . I am not trying to scare you or so but i genuinely care maintain social distance and pick up utensils n all using a glove , following this my mom somehow managed to keep herself safe. I'm scared as hell, so stressed since 5-6 months as I am a doctor and I stay with my family, I constantly have to try to divert from all the stress due to Corona,as I also have asthma, it's very scary you know to still get up everyday and go to the hospital until n unless you're positive, you're not given leaves, I however try to keep myself positive and talk to people when I'm low.

Rapid Antigen* test not estrogen😅 This test doesnt have great sensitivity i.e. its not thaaat reliable. RT-PCR is a better test. I would request everyone to keep calm in such situations and trust ur healthworkers. We are doing everything we can, risking our lives. We are gonna sail through these tough times😇

The first test is usually negative get his second test done too at day 7 if the symptoms are persistent especially loss of smell and taste or if you guys don’t get a confirm lab diagnosis of his disease
