Never rode BMX in my life but been watching Scotty since the beginning and have been there from the good and bad and good again. Was a hell of journey, such a great dude!

As someone who had a spinal cord injury long ago now and broken neck in multiple places I totally applaud Scotty and all his hard work getting to where he is at now 6 year's after his accident. It's something that forever changed my life and his as well.

Scotty is one of the best BMX riders ever. Such a humble guy, it's an inspiration to see him recover and get back on a bike.

I watched Scotty since he showed up on the pro scene. Can’t even recall how long ago that was. Been following him forever. When he started his channel I was super hyped. When the accident happened I felt like my best friend was gone forever. Man rose up and kept on with bmx content. What a legend.

One of the best riders ever to touch a BMX bike. Tragedy he got injured, but his legacy is enormous, and we’re lucky he survived to be the inspiration he is today. I still love his content on RU-vid. Haven’t missed a video in years.

I remember watching Scotty ride with older retired dudes and I wondered at what caliber will he be riding when he starts getting older but then his injury happened and Ik id never get to see him perform at older ages to the capacity that he could’ve and it’s just a shame man. True lost to the sport and culture but his impact is still great and he continues to push such positivity into the scene to continue making him one of the goats!

The dude is the man. I met him twice at Incline back in the day and has very cool and humble.

Not past tense. Scotty was better than anyone had any business being on a bike. It’s safe to say he has mastered the BMX bike and his control over it. I’m not of the opinion that it has gone anywhere because that’s still where his mind, heart, and soul is. Definitely a crazy real life story of perseverance. It was crazy to watch the story unfold in real time. Waiting days, or weeks to know if he was even gonna make it. But I have mad respect for him for just using his platform to give other riders who he enjoyed a platform. It’s a classic story of someone who loves their craft so much that they could live a life of happiness just simply being able to be around it all the time.

I knew scotty before his channel on yt, by watching props issue videos on dvd. I remember subscribing to his channel when it was like 7k subs only. So much can change in a fill years… life is crazy

Im older and washed up, still ride a bit but I'll swing by the skatepark when I'm out on my motorcycle and just see who's there and watch the people shred. It never leaves you.
