Cammy, please ask Lachlan to be the Australian correspondent for the Sheep Game's youtube channel. It'd be great to get some video of his operation!

Some regenerative farmers put their sheep in behind the cattle because they eat what they cattle won't...some also then put chickens behind the sheep so that they can rummage through the manure. I find that all very interesting.

Another great podcast! In California, regenerative farming with sheep includes grazing other livestock in your paddock rotation. Beef cattle, pigs &/or chickens & ducks are all in rotation, then sent to local abattoir, and sold at premium “pasture-raised” prices. Because there are bears, cougars, coyotes etc., sheep farmers here often use a livestock guardian, like a llama or guard dogs (which means they can’t use herding dogs to move sheep). Different climate and predators equals totally different farming methods, but it’s amazing how much of sheep farming is still the same around the world❤

So, am I to understand that the Roots so Deep idea suggests we return to how our ancient ancestors farmed their livestock, by moving them around to fresh pasture and leaving the freshly eaten pasture to regenerate? We abandoned/forgot this method, especially with the implimentation of the agricultural policy of the 1940s. It makes so much more sense than how we have been forced to think and behave. I wish we had had this idea back when I was a child, on my dad's dairy farm. I think it would work with sheep, if the cattle came in after them to eat what the sheep don't. Or vis-a-vis.

Fosters did start in Ozz then it was taken over by an international drinks firm & is now made in England.

Yeah Cammy that would be a wonderful idea if when Lachlan get back to Australia that he has catch up with you and Iona and you can compare things on a regular basis would be very educational for both farmers and non farmers to hear all different views about all types of farming topics and the pros and cons and why it work there but not in Australia ect.

Pretty sure the Regenerative Method could be tweaked for Sheep Worth looking into

I am very dubious about all the talk of Carbon Capture New Technologies (I think it is actually an excuse to do nothing about Climate Breakdown) HOWEVER I support Regenerative Farming Putting Carbon back into the Ground Naturally It is a Win-Win for Farmers and The Global Environment I always Follow the Science
