And she doesn't give a 🤬 about how her character is perceived as long as it's an interesting role that challenges her abilities as an actor! It may be the Texas grit in her that enables her to shine in more obscure roles like this!

Don't take everything as an attack especially a TV drama and artistic license to establish the essence of the Character for the audience to allow them to connect and root/cheer for the character. Most of the characters of the feminists displayed are also getting the same treatment. Hell, Steinmen is considered treacherous infiltrator by the staunch Feminist movement, and some of the things she hid from others is well out in the open here. The media plays her as a beacon just like GMA Anchor tries to get Cate to attack her Character and create conflict and demigods. The character of Freidmen is also being framed as annoyed with lesbians, when I'm not sure was the case at all. I have since watched a number of debates with Mrs Schlafly and we can all learn the courage and patience she portrayed while they twisted in passive aggressiveness at her speaking at all. Cate Blanchett knocked Queen Elizabeth out of the park. Every interview seems like she admired Mrs Schlafly and will knock this out of the park to . Jumping onto the defense wagon and trying to rally troops is not needed. Some things will be portrayed in a mindset of victims, but really, this is how they are taught and how they treat everyone and I do believe they only find reality and understanding when they can see people vulnerable, regardless of it's true. Most left leaning feel if your can't be a victim it makes you a narcissist and inhuman. That part is my 2 cents but either way the character portrayal will win the hearts more than dent the image.

@@williamcary8029 I'm all on board with having artistic license, but this isn't superhero :-) it's someone who actually existed :-)... Hell, I'm sure there's a lot that the producers of this show and I agree with, I just wish they wouldn't be so heavy-handed with morality and I wish that they would remember there's a lot of gray area and a lot of the good and the filthy of Humanity on both sides.

Couldn't take much of her babble The writer was all about the vulnerability.but even with the fact that you can't change a scorpion habits Cate will still make it shine. Look how long it took to get a "We were Soldiers " only accurate Vietnam tale. Phyllis is a winner and Americans love winners.

It's not a documentary. If that's what you expect , then watch a documentary. Did you get bent about the ridiculous comedy made about Elizabeth Montgomery? It's a fictional drama based on real events. They also didn't talk to the families of the other characters. Phyllis Sclafly used lies about what the amendment contained in order to be inflammatory and stir up discord. I am old enough to remember it firsthand.
