Here is the woman who deserves all Oscars and praises. Her performance in Tár is truly the best performance of the year by an actor. It is a multitude of human understanding.
Im sorry but that Oscar is Cates......no one has ever put on the screen what that performance contains.....It will be talked about 10 years from now....
I love the way she speaks, how she can command attention in the things she say. Her brain, her style, her grace and her humour. She makes me feel proud to be a woman.

I am so glad there are women like her in the world. As talented as she is and was born, she is such a hard worker and her speeches are always very inclusive. Sometimes she speaks a bit high brow, (and nothing wrong with that at all, speaking is in parts becoming a lost art) and the next refreshingly connects to us with the delight of many women share when we take off our bra,mor the despair of having to spend more time with children than maybe we feel comfortable with. Very inspirational.

Cate meets the acting roles with a profound confidence, she literally throws herself into her roles. A gay icon? A woman of immense strength? A kick ass kind a gal? An advonte guard warrior? It should happen for michelle because it was an all encompassing performance and Cate in Tar was nothing I haven’t already seen it’s not even a great movie.
@@Belfastboi I disagree. Cate's performance in TAR is tour de force, best of any actor and actress combined in the past decade. Sadly the sentiment of the academy voters, which recognizing thar Cate's performance is superb, mostly say "She already has 2, time to create history with Michelle". Michelle has been pulling the race card hard even dragging Cate into it by reposting the Vogue article on her insta page suggesting Cate has 2 and it's her time which she quickly took down, violating the academy rules with that post. But the Academy has made up its mind it seems to reward a good narrative rather than performance merit. I hope I am proven wrong come Sunday night.

Powerful, female centered speech. My only wish is that Cate would embrace the use of 'actress' again as we have lost that. The male 'actor' has replaced the very important and storied historical value of the recognition of the sexes. For in 2023, we have lost far too much about the appreciation of the wonderful difference
Why do people care so much about age and how old they are? 53 is nothing in the grand scheme of things - I bet when I am that age I will still have people saying that I am young.
