Muscle memory and reaction drills like this are really valuable - I know I did not get enough of them at the place that I studied. Love to see you teaching these.
I'm more of a grappler myself. But I love Kenpo. Or shall I say I love the look of Kenpo. I'm still not 1000% convinced that it would actually work though. But I gotta say your technique is smooth and impressive. I do enjoy watching your video's. Osu.
The hammer fist, or any other shot can target anything close enough to hit (head, groin, etc) The major point is hands in the air in front of you, parrying strikes while turning the torso so as not to take on the force of the incoming strike. All people saying it’s not effective would clearly rather eat incoming shots, or cover up and back themselves into a corner.
Most of our drills and sets have an in-place and a moving version. We have a version with back to front switches with some inserts, good stuff. Thanks for watching and for the feedback.
