Great driving, surprised the caterham wasn't quicker in the corners, the Porsche was nearly as quick! Caterham was miles quicker from 120-220, then the Porsche had it easy! On a faster circuit (longer and faster straights) the Porsche would win... Quick caterham though, what BHP anyone know?
Ok, i guess the Porsche is around 1500kg? so it would need to be around 800bhp to match the caterham in power but as for downforce, with so much weight advantage, i would have thought the caterham would handle the corners better, than the porsche with loads more weight but the advantage of downforce... if you get what i mean... surprising! I have owned a caterham and although a lowly 150bhp and road driven only, it felt 'unbreakable' in the corners... i could find a big roundabout, where it is quiet, and keep pushing it until i became afraid but the caterham never broke away! ha! soft tyres mind.. All very interesting whatever! Both amazing cars x
The Porsche has approx 450 BHP and 1200 kg. With a 90 kg driver 2,8 kg/bhp. The Caterham 540 and 280 BHP what is 2,2 kg/bhp. Our tyres are not as good as the Porsche ones. And zero aero, no ABS, nothing
