Thanks I know this video won't be for everyone. There is a good video coming next week. Plus a special video which will be released this year sometime when I've finished editing it.
I love watching people refine their laps. Very wise to not whack the curbs. The time you save is very very small, and it's brutal to the cars - you start spending a lot of money on broken suspension parts. I think you could have held onto a bit more speed on that first left/right. And it would have been interesting to try changing down a gear for the two big right-hander corners. Whether it's actually faster or not depends on your gearbox and your redline, but it would have been an interesting experiment to try. Look forward to more!
Thanks Tom. The first left hander felt faster in real life, but looked really slow on video. I definitely could have taken it faster though and in a few other places. Sometimes it felt like i was battling against my brain telling my to brake more than the track 😆 I really want to go back to see how much I can improve. My last track day (which will be a video coming soon) I learnt a lot. I'd like to go back to the circuits I've already been round as well, as I'm sure I could be faster now. There are lots of other tracks to try though. There will be a longer video like this one soon, as like you I enjoy watching them. I also try to find videos of lots of laps of a circuit to watch the night before driving a new circuit. It just helps me learn the track and where the pit entry/exit is.
Thanks. I really enjoyed the day and I thought this video might he interesting to some people. I was glad I got quicker with every run, but there is loads of time left out there. A reason to go back though hey.
