Caterina is so excellent! She makes it look so easy, and the mandolin has become part of her. She only has to touch it with her pick and the tips of her fingers and it sits there, floating, completely in balance.
I’m a Beatles and early rock and roll fan but the 2nd movement as performed here is the most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever heard in my life! I wish that I could upvote it a thousand times!
I love the little smiles that the violinist gives after she has played a difficult parts. (She must be a vert tiny person in comparison to the man violinist).
The female violinist is Johanna Novom - a most talented Baroque artist To misquote Helena from Shakespeare's Dream "Though she be small she is a brilliant musician"

Nicely done... many years ago I was the accompanist for a guitar version of this... We won a local eisteddfod with it... My only issue with this type of piece is that the performers only need to go 6/10 to 7/10ths at most....This is typical with vivaldi... Bach at least makes people work for it!!!
Ricardo Vicenti: Actually five: 2 violins, one cello (or bass), one harpsichord, and the mandolin. It's hard to hear the bass, but it plays mostly the root of each chord, on every beat.
il barocco NON si suona con mentoniera e spalliera!... come si fa con il violino fisso sulla spalla! Non basta solo usare l'archetto magari con curva moderna così più facile...,Questo è finto barocco...
