Great action in this video scotty.no bottom dumps in Ireland.never seen one untill i was in AZ in 2008.many years ago i ran a CAT375LC in a quarry for a few years.loved running that machine but the job came to an end and i had to move on.memories stired up from this video.

That's a big bucket loading the dirt in... 2 or 3 scoops to fill a belly dump truck. Even had some OTTO trucks out there from Chandler. At least they have a yard off Allison rd. where I get some videos at, so I see them frequently. Great capture of the work taking place !!
Yes, that is between 7 to 8 tons per scoop. Pretty efficient at moving the dirt into those trucks. As for the OTTO's I don't know if they have multiple yards, but I have seen them all over the Valley. I used to see a ton of them running out to the huge landfill out in Goodyear, west of Maricopa on HWY 238. Trash transfer trailers. But I've also seen end dump trailers and straight dump trucks (no trailers) in OTTO's big fleet. Thanks for checking this one out, bud! It is actually doing better than I expected. 🤠👍

Oh boy...2 inches of rain in one shot here is near catastrophic! Not totally unknown here, but it really gets our washes flowing like rivers and dangerous. Sun we have by the train load. Get your 🤠 and your 😎. As for belly dumps, as I just stated in another comment, I am surprised they are not universal. They are so efficient that I figured they'd be useful everywhere. There are even short stubby ones and doubles for those tight curvy places. Anyway, my bed is beckoning soon. Catch you on the next one.
@@espeescotty I've see 3 and 4 inches after lunch/dinner and have a sunset here but this is the mountain tropics too. I've never seen a belly dump here. All tailgates. Have a good one today and a FINE evening home. I don't think we had anyrain last night but it'll make up for it I'm sure!
Yup, but dust control is a necessary thing now too, although I'm not seeing a whole lot of dust being suppressed here. I personally think a wider fanning mist would have worked better.
Great video of a professional operation all the way around! You’ve got your mass ex load out with the excavator and the bottom dumps and a wee dozer for clean up behind him. You have the sweeper going by and the dust control and on the other end a blade laying down the material with another dozer backing him up, nice job! Good transition between all the action! These belly dumps are pretty versatile. They can do as you see here, and there are videos showing higher speed dumping. And they even will do long windrows of hot asphalt for paving. I imagine moving and dumping coal quickly would work too. It is just a smaller scale of what the trains on your railroad do. Cool stuff! Thanks for watching, Dave. 🤠👍
They definitely were not heaping loads. I also thought they could have taken a few more tons per load. And debi5292's comment might have some merit, but I can't say for sure.

@@haroldenglish943 Dang...I must live in a chubacobra's den...I see 15-20 belly dumps running the US-60 each way on my 25-minute commute from Gold Canyon to Mesa. And they are not always the same old trucks. One day earlier this week, I saw 5-6 black and gold Mack Anthems with matching black and gold trailers running east on the 60 before 6am. I couldn't catch the name of the company, but they were sharp looking.

That setup isn't legal on the public roads here in Arizona. There was about a 5-mile drive between the dig site and the dump pit, and it was all on public roads. Thanks for watching!
