Thats nothing. They have competitions. Flipping water bottles up & catching them, in bucket, plastic spoons, driving a toothpick in ground w blade w/o snapping it. Its done w excavators, loaders. Seen a guy thread a needle w excavator. Stuff you wouldn't believe. Mad skills.
All very good..but the last and particularly the second to last were just brilliant vehicle and spatial awareness and incredible judgement on accuracy too! Cheers
Lol, dude bobcats are easy asf, thats all basic bucket work, picking up that drum like that is similar practice too how you pick up digger buckets if you dont have a blade to push on. Maybe i should start recording my skid work, people are so easily impressed by standard operating skills
I gotta say, even with how impressive the truck drivers were, the Bobcat driver in the beginning was equally impressive. The long hours that person took to learn to drive that thing with such precession (Moving and picking up the barrel) amazes me.
The guy on the Bobcat flipping the barrel was impressive. The rest of the tarmac laying was standard operation at least here in the UK as was the truck lift dropping sugar beet.
Your average everyday urban citizen doesn't get to see this every day. Think of it more as an appreciation post for our skilled workers in the world and visibility for their contributions to the things most people take for granted.
Youd be amazed at how many people think theyre badasses and cant even cut out a couple hundred feet with a dozer without making the result resemble a wave pool
Amazing! This just shows up in my recommendations, and they're busy resurfacing and paving the streets in my subdivision, even as I type...We're being watched!😬
Though I am in road construction business for the last 25 years and practically see personally every day, out of curiosity i still watch RU-vid channel.
@@Zombiesbum Someone whose first language is not English and probably doesn't have the opportunity to speak it daily. I'd like to grade an English paper or two of yours, see how many mistakes you make as a native speaker. Be kind, it's free and it's good for you!
@@irishg357 And there is your first mistake, you assume my mother tongue. Additionally I am pointing out the OP is not even a human. For even non-native English speakers don't speak like that. And it is not about the grammar, but the tone. It strikes me as something straight out of a phishing email. Don't stand too high on your horse, you might fall off.
@@cagedtigersteve You can see why in this clip. Notice how everyone has a specific job and when it's time to do it they are right on it. Drivers passing at the start of the video would of seen a group off guys standing around chatting next to the paver. Probably assuming the exact thing you are mentioning.
The bobcat topped up the hopper in the paver. If you didnt the asphalt wouldnt be under the tailgate of the tipper. The truck driver backs up to the paver and then puts it in neutral. The truck driver keeps the truck straight and the paver pushs forward both the paver and the truck. There are rollers on front of paver that push on tyres. Also they have pre arranged signals that tells the truck to go forward if the paver is working to hard or its out of position.
@@mary-annnstednielsen5300 i mean.. of course you wouldnt see it if you didnt work in the industry.. Ive never seen a nurse wipe a grown mans bum but im sure it happens
Well said Meat Bag! Patrick, your comment fails to grasp the scope and depth by which mankind can ascribe the word “Great” to. “Great” nations were built on the backs of people who soldiered thru immense privation to give you your creature comforts! So next time you see, say, a so-called ordinary trash truck driver, show some humility and thank that person for doing a job you know bloody well you wouldn’t be caught dead doing, but if not for that driver, your yard would pile up with your own waste!
Most of the machines look like graphics, the road crew looked like actual humans superimposed in. The open side unloading job looks the most like a game.
