Back in 1957 as interstate construction started, I remember all the cool heavy equipment like bull Doziers, Letourno pans , huge cranes etc...at days end the men would be blistered red from sunburn in the summers heat
Awesome video! That thing is literally UNSTOPPABLE!! I can't believe the awesome power it has. It would be interesting to see how all the controls work in the cab and how the ladder works to climb into such a massive machine. Thank you for sharing. I really appreciated the video.
It's like a bid ass sand box💖💖💖 I wonder what they must of done way back when before they even had these machines? Can you picture doing this all by hand!? That must of been torture and back braking work!!😩🥵
horses and fresnos..or slips...quater yard at a time.I just cant believe this is an economical way to do this..thers got to be high speed scrapers that could do this way cheaper
Amo maquinas tenho uma bl70 volvo quero agora uma escavadeira ...depois um esteira ....só aqui do Brasil vontade de ter máquinas pesadas tenho uma já gracas a deis
These dozers are mighty machines ,but in damp sticky conditions tracks get jam full of earth needing manual cleaning with the common spade . All track vehicles big and small need cleaning often !
Is this all they do is push sand and gravel around for video? I thought they acutely worked in construction make something. Show us that, we would love to see these big machines really working !!
@@ianbermingham9047 those were test machines (pilot machine) I'm talking production model. 1982: 335 hp D8L replaced D8K. The D8L was the first D8 with the elevated drive sprocket undercarriage.
@@eannaoreilly4050 The elevated sprocket keeps the shock loads from the blade away from the gears and bearings in the final drives, all the blade loads go to the pivot shaft that the track frames are mounted on as well as the bogie under carriage reduces vertical shock loads by up to 50% according to Cat. Plus they have components that are easily swapped out rather than tearing the whole machine down. The transmission plugs in the back, the final drives/ steering clutches plug in the side so there is less down time to do repairs. Much smoother ride for the operator especially in rock.
Then the next video is in Cambodia, one dozer driver and 8 labourers with their steel toe capped flip flops waving their arms at the dozer driver in his cab that's covered in red ribbons
Maybe this one is the normal one, 850HP, because Cat D11T you can order whatever engine you want, Some company have cat D11T 1200HP and they say you can buy 1500HP
Can anyone in the dozer and excavator world tell me what the green strobe light on the cab roof of these machines are for. Seems like a worldwide addition to these machines along side the existing yellow strobe. Anyone?
For the best part of about 60 seconds...then you have to call out one of their engineers because it's fucking exploded due to how crappy they are designed and built 🤣🤣🤣
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother lately =)
I ran some of first D11 that was built similar to D10L, they where a work horse! Think it had more power than the D11R and the T series! Had a slower first gear and Cat back then wanted you to load blade in 1st roll blade back to carry and shift to 2nd! Would carry a blade load easily! When they got the R series was told to stay in first gear which was faster than 1st in first than older D11, which had alot of power! When T series came out, we had one of the first 5 experimental models, which was nice machine but thought C series didn't have the low end power as the 3508 engine!
They're basically just limited by the amount of traction they can get... Sweet, dont see many D11 vids because they're all so deep in strip mines no one can get close enough to film them... Tnx for the vid... So is Stokey in UK, i've seen many more vids of them??? This is nothing like Limestone mining in the midwest USA... LOL... 3 years later, YT recommends the video again... Oh well, who cant get enough of some D11 ACTION!!!
Look up “the Jackson brothers” they have two d11 dozers on their farm and make some bad ass videos with them. Like doing tug o wars or hill climbs etc.
Construction Machines Channel I thought I did have a figure for blade capacity but can’t find it. The blade is a 5.58m wife 2.8m tall U-blade. Gives you an idea of what it could push.
Their not that great as a dozer imho, but we have only used ours for 8 hours, so take it with a grain of salt. As a stand alone machine a 1050 deere or an 8 is better. 11 sucks for clearing, atleast here. They move alot of material but the dead track config sucks in uneven, soft ground. That said cant wait to get ours to the spot where its gonna shine.
