One of my mother's cousins has a house on Lake Mathis. It's good to see you that the lake has got some fish in it. I remembered it dried up real bad for years.

Very cool video, thanks for sharing. Im from Mayhis, Texas and the lake was it for us where we learned how to swim, how to fish and frog gigging..

Grandparents had a camp there that's where it all started for me about 40 year's ago. I still feel like I did back then when the fish is on. 🤙

Ty I'm from Mathis Texas and I fished there all my life until I moved to Rockport Texas with my wife and kids that's when I started fishing when I was a kid with my dad there in Lake Mathis but there is a good places to fish like Rivers streams in canals but it's not called like Mathis no more it's Lake Corpus Christi only when somebody dies and Mathis Lake they call it like Mathis but when something happens good they call it Lake Corpus Christi FYI

@@30mofishing nice! I have some friends that lived like 2 or 3 spots over to the left of where u were.. there is a red fish tournament on red fish bay there in aransas pass tomorrow. R u intrested in fishing in it?
