So glad to see you not have to step off that rear deck to the floor of your boat anymore. I held my breath every time you did that. Also no more fumbling for your net with the wide open boat. Great move, smart move. Can’t wait for you to get rigged and get back on the water and see you in action. You’re gonna love all the room.
One of the most memorable things about many of your videos was the pain I felt for you with that console in the way all the time. Now you have a fishing boat!!
You gonna sell the old boat? Be like a celebrity boat! You could autograph it and get the big bucks! Nice new boat Dave. Looking forward to seeing it on the water.
Yey! for you Dave! I think I am more excited to see you fish than you are? I have been trying some deep holes. Lol. No cooperating catfish. Love the channel and maybe some bloopers on new boat? Views. Good luck Dave. Flathead to break in the boat content. Music? Something special I am sure!
New Toys are always fun..... Looking forward to seeing you getting the Skunk Out of the Boat.... and hauling some good cats in. Got first snow today. Got permission to fish on a property on Lake St. Louis.... Have heard some good fishing reports for cat. Plan to start bank fishing in late March / Early April..... Oven Fried Catfish Fillets were great last year....
Dave, I had the ex loader trailer as well. Bolts loosen up and the trailer tracked sideways, what a piece on crap. Your new trailer is much better. Thanks for all the great videos.
Ohhh my goodness Dave ,,,you will love that tiller handle ,, I have guided for 23 years and tiller handle is all I have ever had , main reason , way more space in the middle of the boat where you need it the most , it also rides and handles a lot better in and around the dock , also trailer put in and put out is much easier.
Tip! I put in an onboard battery charger with a flush mounted watertight receptacle. The charger was in a cubby and all the wires were hidden. Extension cord from the garage to boat! Plug it in, simple and clean.
Missed your videos, been praying for your healing. A reputable boat dealer would have at least provided a trailer that fit your old boat but a country boy will survive and flourish no matter the circumstance. Good looking boat and equipped much better than my 17 bikini hauler but I just fish out of it. Cannot wait to see you catching again.
Congratulations! I think you’re going to really enjoy your new boat. I had an older alumi craft that same style years ago. Can’t wait to see it in action.
My mom is 94 years old and most mornings at breakfast we will look forward to a Catfish Dave video, and every time he puts one of those Catfish back in she just shakes her head. She wants to know why he doesn't keep them. I just told her about how much Mr. Dave makes per Hr. on you tube, and she said WELL IF HE WOULD KEEP THOSES FISH AND SELL THEM HE'D MAKE A LOTS MORE MONEY!!!!!!! Ha Ha, WE MISS YOU CATFISH DAVE.
Looks real nice Dave. Wish mine was a tiller handle too. Damn console just gets in the way. You could put a cot tent on that and sleep all night. Love it
I like the new boat, Dave. My current boat is a 16 footer, open, tiller. I thought I wanted a bigger boat with a side console, but when I factored in the deck space lost by the console, I had to order an 18-foot boat to break even. I was hoping the bigger boat would have more freeboard, a smoother ride, and be able to handle bigger water like the Virginia lakes and James River. It was all for nothing, in the end. The boat was on order for 6 months before the manufacturer contacted me to tell me they had no idea when they could get back in production with aluminum stock, motors, and other components. It didn't do any good to look at other companies because they all seem to be in the "same boat." Screw them. I'm saving $30K, and my little 16 footer is rigged just the way I like it for the water I currently fish. I might have to pick my days to get on the big water. If this supply/demand/inflation situation ever straightens out I might start looking again, but until then I'm going fishing in the old boat.
You did the right thing! First boat is a learning experience… glad ya hocked it. Wasn’t worth messin with replacing a trailer and all that comes with it
Congratulations Dave!!! It looks great for what you do !! Best of all you have room for another beautiful girl in the boat lol 😆 💕! Take care and stay safe my friend !! P.s please play some more guitar 🎸 🙏 ! On those videos with the champ !! It sounds amazing !!
Damn Dave...beautiful boat..you deserve it!!!..now you don't have to worry about the small stuff...but the size of fish you catch..you think those rod holders will stand up ..
Nice up grade!!! You'll like that boat better it wont be as rocky in the waves and the deep v sets a little lower in the water. I just sold a boat simler to that one and up graded to a crestliner 1750 fishhawk. We needed a litte more room and a wider beam so my rods were farther apart when trolling. I put a few videos on my channel on my new boat and my old boats in some of my older videos from last summer. We enjoy your videos and keep them coming.
