I have heard the south pond is good for carp! Every time i go to the north one its only catfish and bluegill. Subbed! Thanks for the awesome content!

100%. The fact that the other rod got one fish the entire time on bread makes me wonder how insane it would’ve been with 2 rods. Would’ve probably been a 30 minute video 😂😂

@@FishingWithPorter the bread not catching much did surprise me. I’m from southwest Missouri and I’ve ran out of bait a handful of times and used bread I bring for sandwiches and that usually will get me something to use for bait of some type.

@@jacobkean03 I’ve caught tons of carp catfish and even lots of goldfish out of this pond on bread so that blew my mind. My guess is just pond pressure. That’s cool you’re from Missouri my parents live in independence!

Those cats are skinny. It may be because I’m just used to seeing them from our local lakes and rivers though. What’s the food source in those ponds?

There’s thousands of bluegill and tilapia in these ponds for the catfish to eat. But this is also a result from the owners of this pond overstocking. Quite common down here, they make it super easy to catch fish because it’s a community thing but then the fish are over abundant and malnourished.

@@FishingWithPorter yep. I’ve seen overstocked ponds. It stunts everything in the food chain. I caught 3-4 skinny ones just like that this morning, maybe the channels haven’t fed up for spawn yet. The 5 blue cats I caught were all in the 20-40 pound range and were butterball fat.
