BA hasn't had a presence at ICN since covid, the oneworld carriers that fly to ICN are Qatar, American, Qantas, Malaysian, Cathay, Finnair and Srilankan.
BA has already plan to resume to ICN. But the Russia sanctions seems to postpone the resumption indefinitely. They still however flew to Tokyo Haneda now.
@@williamsZhou BA is flying flying to HND as a friend of mine will be flying with them. For LHR-ICN, I think Virgin Atlantic will be looking at it as there will be a monopoly if the Asiana and KoreanAir merger takes place

I could watch this 5 times. You captured some huge aircraft departing Seoul. What was that 6 engine plane? The VLOG is awesome with the (polluted) fishing village not so far from Tung Chung, (where several of my friends still live). The Hong Kong style french toast looked delicious! But this was the best part, nice bathrobe and hair! So funny. 19:46
It was a cargo plane operated by Silkwest. Didn’t know they have such plane lol, I have seen their 747 in HKG before I believe that was an Ilyushin Il-76
Another great vlog JW! Enjoying the background music! Always nice to hear an Aussie accent from the flight deck. The food size offered was impressive especially for a 3 hour flight! Do you still sing? Tai Lo, you wouldn't think you were in HKG, so different to the hustle and bustle of the city!!
Thanks for another great trip report! I especially like the vlog visit to Tai Lo. I've been to Lantau but only to the "Big Buddha," and the fishing village looks worthwhile, if only to say meow to the cats.
If you want one, try Hong Kong to Manila T3. Keep in mind that flight would be a mixture of nationalities. However, competing PR301 303 313 319 307 are mostly filled by Filipinos working in Hong Kong back to Manila. If you can read traditional Chinese Philippine Airlines is spelled as this 菲律賓航空 in 🇭🇰🇹🇼. In my family it split my father always prefers the premium competition like CX🇭🇰/NH🇯🇵/KE🇰🇷 on the other hand my mother will just go Philippine airlines 🇵🇭
Yeh Jayden love the trip report on your home airline, great to see the quite new a321neo in action! The turbulence did look quite bad even your amazing camera works were shaking🙃. I remember you mentioning in your last video about how Hong Kong - Korea journey is often quite turbulent😯, hopefully that didn't downgrade your trip. As you said very disappointing to see rubbish in streams during your vlog. Thanks for the amazing work, keep it up and take good care flying

Great video, Jayden! The new OneWorld lounge in ICN looks nice and sounds like a good upgrade from the previous CX lounge. Your seats on the A321Neo looked nice with plenty of legroom. The video screen looked very nice on the video and I love the Bluetooth option. That way I can use my own headphones. Also, nice food service on a relatively short flight. Tai O looked like a very interesting place. Such a contrast from HK city.
Really comfortable seats indeed and if you have to choose between a Weber 5751 Philippine Airlines A321neo or this one a HAECO Vector seats CX🇭🇰 A21N? When my mother flew on the long distance A35K which has the same seats as this one she enjoyed it. Almost exactly the same as your Hanoi with 6'4. Speaking of the Korean Crews they can also work the New York/MNL🇵🇭 flights with Taiwanese and Filipino crew. 10:39 Taiwanese or mainland China crew. If they were Filipino Maraming Salamat happened to me when I was running New York to Hong Kong
Good stuff Jayden! I got to visit that One World lounge earlier this month after visiting South Korea. Really liked it - including the views of the tarmac (saw a great sunset). Gotta hate when the seatbelt sign stays on and you're busting! haha
I remember the lady next to 6’4 getting really pissed off towards the end of the flight, she stood up for one second to use lav and crew told her to sit down (perfect timing), ask for coffee and tea and rejected🤣

That sure is an Australian accent from the captain. Kinda unexpected hearing that in Seoul on a Hong Kong plane. But I guess there’s plenty of other AU people like myself that’s lived in HK so not that surprising! As always, good work there.
Missing CX a321neo, I just rode it this June from MNL-HKG 😅 didn't know the seats were the same as CX A35K! 🎉😂 I loved the mini vlog at the end! THANKS JAYDEN AND 6'4"
How did you like it by the way are you doing Manila to Hong Kong only or Manila Hong Kong New York. If you ask him about CX vs PR planes Jaden will tell you that CX versions of PR fleet beat them at all times unless you are like my mother who says PR🇵🇭 > CX🇭🇰 KE/OZ🇰🇷 JL/NH🇯🇵 Even though in reality it's the other way around
About the red seats, think these came to be because these narrowbodies were originally meant to be branded under Cathay Dragon before they dropped that entire brand and folded everything into Cathay Pacific.
The seat of econ has super short legroom! I am slim with 168cm height, I was in econ (not the 1st row as Jayden). I dropped my phone on the floor, but I was unable to pick it up. Poor me! 😵 So you can imagine how short legroom it has??!! Luckily, 6’4” was in the 1st row!
My dream is to travel with my boyfriend like you do with yours. Cathay has the nicest economy swats I've ever seen on an A320 save for Starlux Airlines. As an oneworld emearald status holder, I also went to Oneworld lounge in ICN. For Koreans, it is a big relief because Asiana and Korean Air lounge is not that good in western standard.
Absolutely correct definitely in competition with the other premium East Asian carriers. If you end up applying it to their inaugural route Hong Kong to Manila it's a big difference between CX and Philippine Airlines 菲律賓航空. Remember they both operate 1 to 1 models. The key difference of B-HPx vs RP-C9930-RP-C9938 straightforward you get a much tighter seat on Philippine Airlines lose out the Bluetooth Ife capability. Keep in kind some of the RP-C9930-RP-C9938 fleet have AC plugs while B-HPx fleet don't. Wide body planes on that route CX🇭🇰 > PR🇵🇭 model of the same plane. Not in my family where my mother sees PR🇵🇭 > JL/NH🇯🇵 KE/OZ🇰🇷 CX🇭🇰 TG🇹🇭 MH🇲🇾 BR🇹🇼.
Took this from HK to Kaoshiung, it’s a disaster 😂delayed for 2 hours due to electrical issue, water leaking from above seat, most ridiculously they run out of fork during meal serving 🤣
Good to know! They’re quite pricey from Australia to HK. So I usually book Australia-HK-Somewhere in Asia haha. And make HK a longer stop so I can see family and friends :)

Just out of curiousity - does 6ft4 have status? How do you get to sit together? I know CX are pretty stringent with seat selection in economy - only their own elites' companions get free seat selection, for other OW elites it's limited to the OW elite only and doesn't extend to their companions.
He has ruby. He doesn’t get exit rows for free though. But then every time I used to select a seat in advance when he wasn’t ruby yet, CX would automatically assign him a seat next time me at check in. 100% of the time he got assigned next to me :)
I know you’ve complained a lot about the vegan meals on Cathay Pacific in the past, is that the reason you went with a normal meal for this flight? Great video as always.
A lot of airlines do this, in this case where 22 was the first row in economy That’s because Cathay Dragon (which is now absorbed into Cathay Pacific) wants all aircraft type to have consistent seat numbering. On their A330, economy also starts from 22. So the crew who work on all fleets know the cabin class when you tell them the seat number. For other Cathay Pacific planes, economy starts at 39.
Very cramped legroom on these planes. Among the worst I've seen on any airline. Makes me wonder whether the seat wouldn't have been better without the additional seat padding...
