Having not flown since 1986 on Cathay Pacific CX 101 Boeing 747-267B economy service was not as good as in comparison with Swissair SR days on board the A310 -200 and DC10-30ER. British Hong Kong days and Kai Tak Airport was an amazing approach and landing. Old school. Still around. Ansett 727.
@@Aviation763 Yes it was 38 years ago Kai Tak very low approach via Checkerboard Hill a sharp 47 degree right turn then touch down! Swissair SR DC10-30ER. Have it recorded on video tape analogue classic. With Cathay Pacific CX 101 B747 267B to Melbourne via Sydney was diverted strait to Melbourne as to a refuelling strike in Sydney. Pissed off as wanted a domestic sector between Sydney and Melbourne with CX 101 B747. Anyway flew with Ansett AN Melbourne to Adelaide B727-277 with great service hot meals on board served on a tray. I still have an AN tray in my collection and a CX green blanket still wrapped in plastic! They were the days! Exiting Ansett 727 via the ventral air stair was great at the old Adelaide domestic terminal sadly now demolished. Keep on flying and learning in 2024 very different as of the 1960's 1970' etc domestic and international. Kind regards, Ansett 727.
My trip to Seoul was amazing, and I very much enjoyed my trip to Hong Kong! After this flight i didn't immigrate into Hong Kong, as this time it was just for transit to another flight
