I was in the same frame of mind as the interviewer at one point. Protestantism is attractive. In a way it's kind of the easy Christianity. After a while many people start feeling empty with protestantism. They end up craving more structure and tradition which leads them back home to the Catholic Church.

Praying for you brother you come home to One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic church, Jesus founded 2000 years ago. Be open minded and study deeper about Catholicism. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus lead you to the light and truth and bring you back home to the Church He gave us. Do not be afraid of loving and venerating Blessed Mother Mary, nobody loves Mary more than Jesus does. Jesus gave us His Mother on the foot of the Cross. Her role is to bring all of us, her children to her Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer.

That comment is meant to kill not to love. Read the woman at the well. Even Jesus Christ himself does not judge so how them can I? The moment we judge we are no longer being fishers of men. Contrast your comment with the priests. Who do you think invites the man and whom will he seek out in the next conversation? Whose words embody what we Catholics want to be in the world?

Praying the chaplet is good but it must be said with more than words so that we invite the Holy Spirit into our hearts and thus are in a perpetual “Metanoia” through Him with in Him we do His will. faith without works is dead. If we divide with false pride in our dialogue; this is the path of “the scatterer and the confuser” and we promote the very thing we set out to defeat.

@@christophertonIt’s done only when we have ourselves confessed, done our penance and reparations, taken the Holy Eucharist, prayed, fasted, and speaking for myself sought the counsel of another while maintaining anonymity. Then and only then we do it in the most loving humble and non-judgmental way possible. Those words were not Christian. They were sarcastic, mocking and labeling of all Christians not yet in the fullness of the church. The priests were the former. That is all. I yearn only for those outside the church to feel welcomed. This man has carried crosses and overcome grave sin that many of us could never empathize with to come to Christ and he’s humble enough to listen to this priest, commend him, and embrace unity. I’m not worthy to judge him. I see him becoming the cornerstone. “Let he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.”

Have you ever heard of Typology? Using the bible and typology, one can fittingly conclude and come to the understanding that Mary is the new arc of the covenant just as one can conclude that Jesus is the new Adam, the new Moses, etc. If you're asking for a bible passage that explicitly states that Mary is the New Arc, then of course you will not find it, just as you will not find the Trinity explicitly stated in the bible either.

And thanks to that Authority you have a Bible. Also know difference in venerations.. you have dulia/hyper dulia and latria. Latria is veneration only directed to God. Mary receives hyper dulia but sometimes especially with South american catholics this crosses over into latria. Good stuff to know to not miss represent their beleifs

We dont pray to marry . We ask for intercession lol. Unfortunately you were duped by the teachings of Martin Luther. There was only one Catholic Church for 1500 years, then the Orthodox split and then hundreds of years later Martin Luther came around and all of a sudden he got it right after 1500 years? I don't think so. Aside from that all of the great miracles happen to Catholics and in Catholic Nations. Our Lady of Guadalupe and our Lady of Fatima, Eucharistic miracles.... Protestants have no uniformity the world over and a bunch of different sects. The true Churches the Roman Catholic Church. All other churches are in schism. There's a good Channel on RU-vid called I miss Christendom. I would highly recommend listening to it.

@@chosen0n3 mother Mary appeared in different places they were miracles and they came to fruition! What she predicted at Fatima happened. Where in the Bible does it say " Bible alone"? It doesn't ! But in theselonioans it says to hold fast to the traditions given to you by letter n by word of mouth! That means tradition! My brother Martin Luther didn't come 1500 years after the church was formed and all of a sudden he got it right and the Catholics had it wrong the whole time! The Catholic church is the true church and Orthodox Church is also legitimate. Everything else has no Apostolic succession.

“We don’t pray to Mary. We ask for intercession.” Sounds like you’re essentially praying to Mary asking for her intercession. Additionally, we don’t worship Luther or any of the Protestant reformers for that matter because man is fallible; we follow Christ through His Word, and that is Scripture, it’s infallible. As a born-again Christian, these are the mental gymnastics that I experienced when I was growing up in the Catholic Church. It was always “No, we don’t idolize statues” or “No, we don’t worship saints or Mary” we simply “honor” or “venerate” them. The goal posts are constantly being moved by the RCC. Really ask yourselves, when will Christ be enough for you? Why do you continue to re-sacrifice Him at every Mass? The argument isn’t whether or not Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity, but rather when will you accept the gift of God’s grace in form of the ONE and ONLY? And that’s the difference, there is no mediator other than Christ - He is the key. And before you rebuttal, truly let that sink in and reflect on it for a moment. As Mark Twain said: It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.

So your lack of faith in Christ's Church (including yourself) is to blame for your giving into the attraction and deceit of the world. If you had kept to Matthew 22:35, 40-"You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind", and "Love your neighbor as yourself", then you would have treed the narrow path and fulled the apostolic sacraments. It seems that the conducting of this interview and your monologues were not in good faith, so I hope you come to accept the heart of love the Holy Ghost is offering you.

Compare and contrast yours and our priest’s commentary. He educates, he proclaims the truth of what we as Catholics believe, he clarifies, and most importantly he listens. You offer some hope and truth but you are leading with judgement and finger wagging, disallowing his freedom to state what he sees is the truth thereby halting good dialogue. These two men were in the church as Christ defines it. You cannot stand pretending you are with Christ and the other is not and say you are in the church. You have faith and hope but the greatest is love and love is not to judge. To be fishers of men we must have the attractive bait of Christ.

They can’t even come together at one table and agree with one another; only hatred and ignorant of Catholicism unites them all. @@chosen0n3 It’s good if you genuinely have no hate or discontent for the Church or Catholics but you can’t deny there are a bunch of Protestants hating Catholicism even based on lies. As a good Christian we should examine and discern the actual teachings of any Church and Authority, not mix it with personal feelings and interpretations. Find a Church with authority that can be traced back to the Apostles and Early Christians.

Jesus died on the cross to suffer and purify our fallen selves. So that IN TURN, we may be DO his works by the Holy Spirit. Since back then Israelites needed a PHYSICAL temple and PHYSICAL sacrifice. But now, we have a final, ETERNAL, and SPIRITUAL temple. Because Faith WITHOUT works is dead. Pastors and evangelists are no different from Priests or the Papacy. Since they TOO are mediators for Christ. Why do we need earthly mediators? Because God is an intimate and personal being, he wants to share his word and sacrifice with everyone. Even giving his wisdom to his followers.

Way to mischaracterize Catholicism with a straw man. Your faith is empty by itself. Grace, however, is what sanctifies, only achievable through keeping faith, hope, and charity in Christ. Btw, faith is a work. You cannot have faith without actualizing an internal or external work, just as all works require faith in Christ.

But to your logic if a Catholic says they believe in Jesus they are saved lol. So it doesn't matter about their good works or not lol. Catholics call Christian's Brothers, but Christians much of the time don't recognize Catholics as their brothers so you see what Martin Luther did? First of all he fooled you into thinking of the Catholic church is not the true church... Secondly he divided you from your brethren. That's why there's all kinds of different denominations. There is only one true church and it's the Catholic Church all other churches are in schism.
