His Eminence Robert Cardinal Sarah delivers a speech on The Catholic Church’s Answer to the Practical Atheism of Our Age in Washington, DC. This event has co-hosted by the Napa Institute and the Catholic Information Center.
Then answer this question. What practical suggestions did he give in his 30+ minute speech to bring Catholics back to the church in America? He complained about atheism, but not how to evangelise non believers and grow the church. He did even state why Catholics are leaving the church. Could it be because demographics are changing this country? Even immigrants entering are not Christians as Buddhist. This isn't leadership on his part. Go home Sarah and solve problems in Guinea first. First, feed the hungary there. Where was Sarah when Guinea had a sever out break of Ebola and killed thousands in West Africa? Stop the touring and raising money for the far right radical Catholics and creating a parallel church.
Cardinals Sarah. I will look for his book ‘God or Nothing’. He speaks the words which we sheep need so desperately tp hear. Yes we are drowning in words from atheists and communists. We Need God !

I wish this teaching to reach as many people as possible. Indeed, a Church without Christ as our focus is misleading. May God protect and continue to guide you as you teach His true Catholic faith .
God has always acted through brave men, Cardinal Sarah is no exception. By "brave men" I mean those great Saints who teach us the importance of saying out loud: "Christ is King!"
Is it not enough to understand that Cardinal Sarah exposed what the movie "the wolf in a sheep cloves reveals? St Augustine of Hipo said, the truth is like a lion, it defend itself...this was an amazing and courageous speech of all time. We shall pray to have you as a next Pope, may the Good God protect you
Cardinal Sarah is definitely pope material, he has so much wisdom and he truly loves his faith. His holiness shines thru like a true shepherd. Unfortunately pf wants to be loved by the world.
2 Timoty 4 : “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”

I have for some time believed the future of the Catholic Church is in Africa, and I hope that before long missionaries from Africa will come over to re-evangelise our countries. I will be pleased if the next Pope is African,although Cardinal Sarah is unlikely due to his age, the conclave is unlikely to elect an almost 80 year old man.
His Eminence says the Catholic Church in Europe is dying, and in some places is dead. But the holy Father’s policy is maintaining the policy of aggiornamento, more Vatican 2. He is so out of touch he doesn’t see the problem.

I honestly don't think the faith in Europe is "dying or dead". I live in a major European capital city and the faith lives. It will always live. It never dies. I reject such statements. We are an Easter people ever hopeful. We may have undergone apostasy and persecution (often visited on ourselves internally) but we are still here. The younger church may still have something to learn from us.....
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. The Holy Spirit does not evolve and does not contradict Himself. Remember the Holy Spirit is God and God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Once you understand that, then you know that true faith does not change according to the "whims" of worldlings so as to suit themselves. Hence, the adage "The Truth Pains". How true..May God have mercy on us all. Amen
New ages followers says that Christianity comes from Egyptian or Greco-Roman mythology, or Christians celebrate the winter solstice, or they are idolaters, or that Christianity was invented by a single man. : the apostle Paul, etc.,. There is only one answer to give to them : the simplicity and clarity of the Gospel. These people should stop worrying with all kinds of absurd inventions, and their own imagination and rather read and laern the Gospel, the Saints and the doctors of the Church. Only then will they understand the Truth for themselves and the Truth will set them free.

Roman Catholics are misunderstanding Matthew 16:18. The confession that "Jesus is the Christ the Son of God" is the only foundational truth that Christ builds His church on. Peter’s confession is the rock.

What a ho hum speech. Typical speech we hear from bishops that say nothing and give little on resolving the problem. This cardinal is a cardinal of 6:24 a Muslim country, and I hear nothing about Catholic conversions there. I lived in the capital city of Guinea and didn't hear a word about a Catholic church there. I hear a call to prayer from a Muslim mosque early in the morning What has this cardinal been doing for 55 years as a priest? Yet here he is talking about atheism. Leadership skills? None!

Too many weak Catholics in this country. Look at biden, pelosi, and sooooo many others. Our streets run wide with the blood of innocents. Our Constitution no longer respected. … Maybe he is better heard (?) here with the supposed catholics????
No need he was called among them and sent to spread the Gospel in the world doesnt to be there to convert others people from there faith but to tell the christians to keep on true faith and muslim and pagans hear the massage of the servant of God voluntary may convert to true faith. Say Amen.
