I attend mass at 4 pm on Sundays which is the last mass of the day. I only have breakfasts. I would arrive earlier around 1 to 2pm. Sometimes in the middle of the mass, I started to feel cold, a bit shaky close to fainting but I asked the Lord. Lord just let me finish this mass, give me the strength to walk and come to receive you and I'll be fine. I would also ask Mother Mary to hold me tight so I would not faint in front of other people. As I walk through the line towards him, those uneasiness are gone and as I return to my pew, I forgot what I've just felt earlier. Even I can still have another 10 to 15 minutes or more for adoration after the mass. Truly the Eucharist is the bread of life. It sustained me.
And how many people did your actions bring to Jesus and consequently to salvation? If you're going to put that much effort you might as well go out in the streets and preach.
This is exactly what I fear the most. An eternal separation from God. You can choose to believe me or not on what I’m about to tell you. One night around 2 in the morning I heard a voice after abruptly waking up saying “You’re on the wrong path”. I then realized what it was that the Lord was talking about. I’m eager to get my RCIA started and my confession completed. I look at life so differently now. It’s not about us or what we desire, it’s all about God. Please don’t take this life for granted, and realize it’s a gift from God. 1. Worship the lord your God with ALL your heart, mind, and soul. 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. I just ask for your prayers, and I’ll also keep you all in mine as well.
When wondering if you are growing in holiness, don't look at yourself a week or month ago. We all have ups and downs, and you may well be worse off than you were last month. Look a few years ago. When I do that, then I see that I for sure have improved, even though I have a long way to go. Our growth is rarely perfectly linear. Think of it like a stock market graph, there are ups and downs along the way, but you are heading up over time.
I heard a priest say that if you receive no consolation from confession or Holy Communion it is because God is training your will to continue practicing the virtues & to grow in following God’s will even when we don’t feel like it. This strengthens us if we stay the course.

Yes, I absolutely learn So much from All of the Priests that you have on your program. Fr. Martins explanation of how divided we are in our inner being/self is So true; at least for me. I feel like two entirely different people sometimes, it's scary. Like St. Paul said: "...The good I want to do, I don't do; but the bad I don't want to do, That is what I do! O wretched (wo)man I am, who will save me from this body of death?..... Thanks and praise be to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ!" (My paraphrase). @recoveryjmj me too, i dont feel Jesus, dont smell the fragrance, i dont see words jump out of Bible speaking to me, BUT, BUT, God is very active in my life, i just believe it, and in many minute, unimportant details of life, i know God is blessing me, loving me, helping me. E.g. i will ask God and our Blessed Mother to invite me for special Mass attendance and reserve seats for me, they did....hence not by luck nor coincidence we have 2 seats there vacant. And guess what, i dont have monies and privilege to go for pilgrimage, nor to meet the Pope, as a care giver, instead God is bringing him to me, on my birthday, on the feast day of the Most Holy Name of Mary, our Heavenly Mother! We just have to open our heart to hear God, see the wonders He does for us. Just like the saying goes, to LOVE is not to FEEL something, BUT to WILL the good of others.
Science itself has given a new dimension to the logic of the Assumption: women retain the unique cells of babies they've carried for many decades after the birth. Mary not only merited the assumption body and soul because from the moment of her immaculate conception and throughout every moment of her existence was she holy and gave birth to the Lord, but SHE HAD THE REMNANTS OF THE CELLS OF A DIVINE BEING IN HER BODY... If God assumed Enoch and Elijah (without experiencing death), why wouldn't He assume Mary? It wasn't just as a favour... it was also because of her complete obedience to God (like Enoch and Elijah) and that in her He still existed in her body.

So Jesus has stopped speaking after the apostles. Did He not say, "I will send you the Holy Spirit, who will lead you to all truth"??? Yes Drink the Cup of the Lord, Follow the teachings of His Church built upon Peter and the Apostles. But too God also has given us Holy saints to inspire and instruct us as well. St Francis, St Padre Pio, St Charbel and yadadadadada. God still works in the world today, trying to still save the world and sinners from sin. If we were to stop listening to those after the apostles, there would be no reason for us to "Go into the whole world, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as well as preaching the Gospel to all nations". In which the End will not come until the Gospel has been preached to all nations. We would be scatterers rather than Gatherers if we were to not proclaim Christ and Him Crucified and resurrected. "He who gathers not with Me scatters abroad". We are Jesus's hands, feet, lips and heart to a broken world, if we remain silent the world would be utterly lost.

The issue I see with Protestants and all forms of its denominations is that: if it's not in the Bible, it is therefore not true or not of God. The problem with that is, the books that comprise the Bible that the Protestants reference all the time were not put together until hundreds of years later, but the Church already existed before then. That's like saying even the early Catholics' faith is non-existent bcoz they did not have the Bible at that time. The irony of it all is that the Bible was put together by the Catholic Church who they themselves criticize. If they acknowledge that the Bible is of God, should it not follow that they acknowledge the sovereignty of the ones who decided what went into the Bible? Luther removed 4-5 books, but does he really have the authority? Was it truly inspired by God? Secondly, Jesus established a LIVING CHURCH over which a pontiff is to lead His flock. The Bible can not speak for itself. Hence why, it needed an authority to interpret it accordingly. With Bible alone, it gave way to various interpretations leading to the creation of 45,000 denominations. "By their fruits you shall know them". There can't be 45,000 versions of the truth. Only one and that is revealed through the ONLY church Christ Himself established on earth - Et unam, sanctam Catholicam, et Apostolicam Ecclesiam.
Wasn't the word for Satan not meant as personal then, as in more of a general insult like saying you pest or jerk? We have since personified Satan as a demon, but I don't know if that's how Jesus meant what he said to Peter, unless the church implies that those who are against martyrdom are likely demon possessed?
The word means adversary or accuser. Enemy basically. So Peter was standing in the way of The Lord's plan, therefore in the moment he was enemy. As for the possession, maybe those against martyrdom are possessed. The evil one would be against the triumph of souls through the ultimate sacrifice. But I never heard of The Church implying that.

Had other children?? When and where in the Bible exactly does it say that she had children with Joseph other than Jesus? Did Martin Luther explained the cultural and ethnical background behind and the use of the term brother at that time? Aramaic was the language spoken by Jesus and there are no words equivalent to some of these Aramaic words that is used in the current language so they lump everything into one. Brother does not literally mean born of the same mother and father - it can be blood and close relative which does not make the Blessed Virgin Mary having kids with Joseph other than Jesus. God favors chastity and St. Joseph was a chaste man. If he had intended to "know women" he wouldn't have remained a bachelor all his life until God asked him to marry the Blessed Mother Mary. But you wouldn't know that because you reject everything else that's not in the Bible. It would be LUDICROUS to limit the omnipotence of God and the revelations of the truths of the faith in one book. Even the history of human existence cannot be contained in one book and we continually discover new things about our history and the planet and we are fine with that, why are you restricting God to one book when He is the Creator Himself and has chosen to continually reveal the truths of the faith to His LIVING CHURCH???
If you want us to be able to accept something with an open heart and mind, the message would be better received not having a picture of cardinal Cupich of all people imposed upon it. That will just lead to anger and resentment. That's like overlaying a fairy tale with depictions of Hitler. The messages will definitely get crossed. The only way I can really even proceed is to assume that you put that there such that we can imagine Jesus saying those words to him.

But Scripture says, "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions..." Matthew 6:7 Rome says to honor Astarte (Easter) and Saturnalia (December 25th). These were already pagan holidays of Rome before Christianity got there. But Scripture says, “And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.” (1 Corinthians 11:24-26). In other words, when He said, “this do ye as often as ye drink it” He was referring to the cup of Passover wine and the unleavened bread of the Passover meal that He was having with His disciples. Rome says, “You need to submit to our authority if you want to go to heaven.” But scripture says, “... If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.” (John 14:23). The Father and Son want to abide in you. Your body is supposed to be the temple of the Holy Spirit and not a church building or a church altar (1 Corinthians 6:19). There is absolutely no room for any religious organization to insert itself into this equation. They have no right to make this kind of spiritual power grab.
Only the first point is correct, the other 6 contain misconceptions or deceitful information. About the first you must consider the historical context, in a newborn church, where bishops were needed, many christian men were already married, of course the apostles couldn't impose the votes of chastity because it would've made the growth of the church slower, when the gospel needed to be preached fast and in every land during their lives. Also look at 1 Cor 7:8, where St. Paul says it is better to remain unmarried if possible.

@@techwizpc4484 What did Gabriel say to her in Luke 1:28? The Greek word used in this verse is kecharitomene, which means "favored by grace" or "graced". The tense of the word suggests a permanent state of being "highly favored" or "full of grace". If your "full of grace" where is there sin to be found? Her salvation was before her conception then. Hence the immaculate conception. She was saved prior to being the Mother of the 2nd person of the Trinity. Jesus' physical DNA was her DNA. You protestants hate Mary lol. Your "leader" Martin Luther loved the Blessed Mother. Saying "where's that in the Bible" is cute. Where's the word Trinity in the Bible? Yet the EARLY CHURCH FATHERS came to that conclusion.
