Excellent summary. Thank you. In my personal Christian walk, I have gone through a lot of theology. In my experience, preaching Christianity can be acceptable across denominations. However, the difficulty arises when a denomination's specific theology is preached. John Piper sometimes preaches Calvinism. My pastor, who is a Calvinist, preaches Christianity. He can talk about Calvinist views when speaking one-on-one. I feel comfortable in this "Calvinist" congregation, because the congregation reflects Christianity, seeking a walk with Christ, in the Holy Spirit, under Father God. I regularly listen to Catholic priests. However, I have a huge problem with the Catholic Church as an institution. The Pope has said he does not "believe in a Catholic God." If Pope Francis doesn't respect the Bible, maybe he should read Thomas Aquinas. The Pope is deviating from the 2,000-year-old teaching and tradition. He is embracing the very ideology that Pope Pius IX warned about, as did Popes Leo XIII, Pius X, Pius XI, and Pius XII. These Popes embraced Catholicism. I also find very disturbing, Lumen Gentium, especially section 16. That said, I have great respect for true Catholics.

What about the Greek orthodox church? You have a different thought process on Trinity? I think this is great for us to figure out and try to understand but it still is a mystery. I don’t think God cares if we totally understand it because he knows that our minds are not even close to his. So as long as we love Jesus in my opinion, and the Father and Holy Spirit… That is what he wants. Understanding is not the crucial part, but believing and obeying his.

Atheist here. I’m in need of education re’ the authoritative structure of catholicism. Does catholicism not consider the pope to be the authority in which you would resort to for God’s definition? Does the pope agree with Barron? If Barron has a different definition than the pope, does that mean catholicism considers Barron heretic?
