This song reminds me of vacationing at the beach in our little cottage. I was 12 years old....29 now. Hearing this just reminds me of a much more innocent time in my life. I can still smell the salt air and hear the snoring of my grandfather sleeping in the cottage.

One of the great ballads of the '90s. Cathy Dennis was only about 21 or 22 when she did this, but the confidence in her vocal performance was astounding. Co-writer Anne Dudley's melodic sense and arrangements are also fabulous.
i havent heard this song in at least 10 years, and saw the name cathy dennis. so i looked up the song, and i still remember all the words. what a great tune!
This is one of my all time fave love songs. I loved Cathy Dennis from day one and her music is good. Good to know that she is still writing hits, even though she isn't singing them.

I heard this song for the first time just last year in 2008. I don't know how I missed such an amazing song all of these years, I absolutely love it. It reminds me of all the great songs of the 90s that I listened to when I was younger. I sure miss those days!

You are correct. I was in the AF reserves and was subject to call in the first gulf war, and I remember hearing this song at the time:1990-1991. It was and still is beautiful.

I could remember this song when I was a kid. It sounded good back then and I still love it today. I thought the singer was a little girl the way Cathy Dennis sings. I really doubt that her real hair color. It has to be hair dye. Great song!
