Hi, The GSD_PointsSplineLoftFromExcel.xls is located at your CATIA installation directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B25\win_b64\code\command Within the command folder you will be able to find the Excel file called GSD_PointsSplineLoftFromExcel.xls. Double click on it to open the file.
Here the winglet chord you have mentioned is 751mm but you have downloaded a file of 375mm as the chord length. So could you please clarify that for me. And thank you for creating such a helpful vedio👏
Hi, thank you for watching & for the keen eye.👌🏼 Yes. The base of the airfoil should be about 750-800. But we didn't download the airfoil because we used points & splines in Catia to create the sweeping face from base to tip to winglet instead. (17:00 - 20:40) The 375mm if for the tip of the winglet.
That's amazing work! what are the specs are your computer or which computer is best for catia i am intrested in learning the software but i am not sure which computer may be best for it thanks
For every Catia version, you'll find the minimum laptop specs indicated I would recommend you have at least 8GB RAM & a dedicated processor like Nvidia or AMD Ryzen for a smooth operation.
After pasting cordinates in gsd splinter and reordering the cases end loft ..i did viw ✓macros✓view macros✓main✓excut✓user info taped 2✓>>>>>an error window said (Incompatibility of type) please help me
I will try to make a standalone video on that. However this is a complex topic that requires previous knowledge in other Aeronautical/Aerospace engineering disciplines as well as aircraft performance.
Hi, what error message did you get so I can help you. In the meantime, check that you plotted the correct aerofoil, mirror image is checked & that the aerofoil is connected at the ends
