You're right, I'm not using the mouse to rotate the model, I have something like this to rotation a models: www.3dconnexion.com/spacemouse_compact/en/

if you have some geometry hidden, you should see to click the icon 'Swap visible space' then mark what you want to be visible and clic icon 'Hide/show' or you can check if you have anything hidden in the tree, maybe something will help you.

I see you haven't used Alias, slow, not user friendly at all in my opinion, UI design scrambled. Now I am on CATIA v5 and it's like magic, they thought of almost everything, bless macros :)

i don't know how to fix it, i tried to find something about it. grabcad.com/questions/please-explain-what-this-error-message-means but I found nothing that could solve your problem.
