Speaking of fictitious felines, have you considered reviewing any Garfield content? If so, I recommend a crossover with That Long Haired Creepy Guy. Awesome guy. Been covering the Garfield TV specials. Maybe you & him can collab on the Bill Murray film. Just a thought.

I love this movie. In an Eldritch way, in a "The Room" way... it is perfection in how crazy it is. Ah... I love it!

I’m sorry, but this isn’t just an accident or a bad call. You don’t take an all star cast and turn them into monsters by mistake. Either there were a lot of people that thought this movie looked amazing or it was purposely sabotaged. My guess is that the real cats took over the set at night and did a little tweaking here and there. 😾😾😾

I loved this to be honest, but I love movies more when they are weird and different, so all the things that was said negative about it is kind of why I like it. The odd look to them, I find it amusing. Nonsense plot... well, it's mostly what the play was so at least it's faithful. I will agree that the play's use of touch to show approval (in the play this is mainly shown when Isibella is there) got way overdone to the point of sexual overload, but I got over that.

Does the play still do productions because ive wanted to see cats since it was on a commercial on barney vhs when I was a child and im afraid this movie is going to be not as great. I was told it was never great to be honest but I wouldnt know and i just really like the original cat looks

The simple plot of cats is that one of the cats gets to reincarnate as kitten, so all the cats sing and perform songs that are talking about what they are rather then what they want. So the difference of an "I want" and an "I am" song is that I want is something like "Part of your world" from Little Mermaid and I am is "I'm Shiny" from Moana. So all the cats want to be picked as the cat to reincarnate and they say what they are with a big show and dance, and then enter Grisabella the Glamour cat. Grisabella is unique in that she's the only one with an I want song. She's washed up, old, and she's been kicked out of the group so in the end she's picked as the cat to reincarnate, so she can have her dream of rejoining the group as someone young and new. Cats is 90% spectacle, you ever listen to the music you'll have the songs stuck in your head forever. I still sometimes out of nowhere will remember Mumbojerry and Rumpleteaser's song and it drives me batty.

@@jessandbecca wow that's really cool I never knew the plot really just always loved cats and musicals. Also that ties together the old trailer i saw in the 90s because it had the older cat and her song sounded sad so I'm so glad she has a happy ending.

@@WatercatGaming Yeah that's Grisabella and her number Memory. Memory about how she remembers her time in the group and desires to be back with them to be accepted as part of the group again. The whole Cats musical is really about memory

I remember seeing the play play of it on VHS in our music class when I was in elementary school, and I have to say that the play itself made very little sense.

Oh it got me hot and bothered... like a dam flu I never want to experience. Its like that Seaman game, where the fish all have human faces - the body is realistic and all, but the faces just make it look like a horror show. They even move in the uncanny valley wrong. If the makers were to make the cat faces LOOK like cat faces, then we would not feel so creeped out... Instead its like "Oh we would do that, but then you would not recognize the actors, and we would not want that" force fed to us decades after we had far better cat designs than this. I mean Batman, The animated series Tiger Tiger episode is way better than this. And that came out in 1992. And we know the technology can do that, since we saw it in Ready Player One. So all we see is a soulless project to only make money.

I'm giving everyone a thumbs down who says the CGI looked ugly. I'm just so happy the movie exists now and haters can't erase it from existence any more at this point. I'm looking forward to purchasing the Blu Ray.
