A topic you are yet to discuss in detail is migration. I am sure there are many people like myself who will be interested to learn about your individual journeys navigating life as an immigrant in Australia. I have heard it's a struggle moving from one visa to another trying to find a way to stay permanently. I am not sure which stage both of you are in currently but I do know that both started the journey as students. Talk about the struggles (if applicable) you faced as a student versus how life is now on a work visa. If you are permanent residents, how has life changed compared to when you were on visas? How long did it take to become a permanent resident? Australia is notorious for changing rules and occupation lists frequently. Have you personally been impacted and how so? I have heard of people changing courses and careers trying to get PR. By sharing your individual journeys, you can set realistic expectations for future migrants and be a source of comfort to people already living in Australia going through the same hardships. If you do this podcast topic, it will no doubt be your most listened to/watched episode 😃

Hi I think we both have briefly spoken about this and our experience as a whole. We do not want to keep sharing the same stories over and over again as that is not the niche we want this podcast to cater to, but would highly recommend checking out channels like Tri angle podcast as they predominantly speak about migration.

Can we know how u take sick leaves? do u wanna ask permission from bosses?😢 We always wanna ask permission and if they tell no, we have to go even if we are sick. I think thats a tragedy

Personally I have never had issues taking sick leave from any of my work places. I just text/call and inform them and workplaces in Australia are legally obligated to approve it, regardless of being short staffed. Usually, after 2-3 days you’re required to provide a doctor’s certificate but otherwise they’re pretty good -Shenali 😊
