Catskill Mountains - Kaaterskill High Peak 

This is Kaaterskill High Peak, a 3,655' mountain in the Catskill Mountains. #11 for me on the quest to hike all 33 mountains above 3,500'.
A hike born from tragedy, this was a day I needed to reflect on the bigger picture. To reflect on the decisions we all make, every day, that shape the future we all have to live. Death always puts things into perspective, but the loss a lot of people very close to me experienced on May 21st was beyond what we would ever expect.
If you are reading this before you watched the video, I'll apologize now for the "odd" camera shakes in the beginning and the audio, which came out terrible. You see, the GoPro was last used when I went to the eclipse so I had it setup for what I was going to encounter there. I never reset the camera before this trip so it was going nuts trying to compensate for the low light and the stabilization took a huge hit. The audio issues are caused by this being my first trip using the GoPro Media Mod, which takes the good mic setup the camera has natively, and turns it into one where it prioritizes either the front or the rear mic. You can actively hear it throughout the video, some voice is clear and some sounds like I'm very muffled and far away.
Not happy with this thing but I'm still testing different setups to see if I can get it close. An external mic is my ultimate solution.
