"Bring Back The Plague" lyrics: Yersinia Pestis! The recurring pandemic Not often enough it seems For these mammalian hosts a systematic invasion is a must These scattering rats Their diseased existence Earth’s megalopoli a plague focus Eradicated with Death’s persistence The density of the populace intensifies and modernized The wrath of “god” bleeds from their eyes …and like the raven this contagion keeps repeating, ever eating humanity to nevermore Every body a host Every body infected Corpses white as a ghost Naturally selected Black Death, you’ve found us Your cloak surrounds us Boundlessly drown us in bacillus countless Bring back the plague Delete those that threaten a new world Start today Dig their graves They’ll find a way to rid the world of finding new tomorrows End of days Dig those graves Bring back the plague Even if it means your own survival is at stake Dig your grave We’ll find a way to rid the world of everyone tomorrow End of days Dig our grave Malignant Virulent Mephitic Anthropomorphic Pneumonic Septicemic Bubonic Anthropologic
Ever since this pandemic started in the US, it's hit harder for me. Society is a joke, and the way Death Atlas portrays it makes it my favorite album for this day and age.
I know! Holy fuck. Also very relevant to the times because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Great social commentary over probably the best and most unique metal vocal style.
Totally unique, all 5 of his voices lol. If you havent already, its defenitely worth checking out how he makes some of these sounds Its nuts. And also yea, imo hes the top vocalist in the metal biz. Noone uses more than 1 style of death metal vocals in a single song, well this guy uses like 4-5 😂👌
travis ryan in other videos: demonic this one: posted on the couch playing ps4 in slippers, with a dog next to him and a cat and a bong in the background. all while wearing the merch of a rapper that stole his album's artwork. absolute Chad
@kkh369 I'm just an ironworker. Maybe someone can enlighten us on the mechanisms of cholera. Is it not shitting and vomiting yourself to death? I must have missed that day in advanced ironworker epidemiology.
@@plainlogic Cholera toxin which is excreted by the cholera bacteria attacks the gut cells and cause enormous excretion of water from the body. So no vomiting but basically peeing out of your ass for days on end faster than you can drink. Most people die of dehydration and salt loss.
So glad your life is easy enough to have the opportunity to complain about this. Let me guess, the arrangement of utensils in the dishwasher is also a problem. 🙃
Hearing this band for the first time today. Their sound is nothing like what i expected and this video is even less what i expected. In love already. I fucked up sleeping on this for so long.
I love cattle decapitation cause they sound so fucking bizzare and unique. Makes me think im listening to a mischievous entity or something. And that last dig your grave. Badass.
I've had the, uhhh, "clean" vocals from the bridge stuck in my head for days, and this album has finally gotten me into this band. Would really love to hear more singing like that, it's fucking epic. You guys fucking rock! \m/
@@extrainches Dude, I've taken a deep dive into that trilogy since this was posted and actually just saw them here in Seattle not long ago. Hands down my new favorite band!
Yeah man so not to belabor the point or anything, but it’s considered a sing-scream (was told this by Jake Diffenbach of Rivers of Nihil one time) and it’s literally just that-a combination of the two; definitely a refined skill. You can hear early glimpses of it in their album The Harvest Floor, but as my man above me pointed out, the technique really came to life on the Monolith of Inhumanity album, and since then Travis has regularly incorporated it into his songwriting, as evidenced on this here album as well as The Anthropocene Extinction. Cheers my dude 🤘 Edit: just read your reply to the other guy, I’m assuming by ‘trilogy’ you mean Monolith, Anthropocene and Death Atlas so this is very likely an unnecessary comment 🤙
Absolutely! Sic part! I became grimm and wanted to shred my guitar immediately while looking angry and spitting balls of chewed toilet paper! ;) Keep it healthy everbody!
Not repeating the part again is called a metal hook. Its a killer breakdown or riff or even vocal line that you want to hear again but don't so then you are forced to replay the track again to get those feels again. Hooks you in.
@@nataliejohnson5411 I'm jealous !!! I've heard that your state and Texas,Mississippi are open 100% that's really good cause I'm from Poland and we are exactly opposite 100% closed and slaved with masks
@CinemaOffal Productions Lmao you sound so butt hurt right now. Why aren't the vaccinated dems taking off their masks? Oh yeah, because it's all about the narrative. Fuck outta here acting like some bunk ass vaccine is why they're covid free lmao. Didn't Bill Maher just test positive for it after being vaccinated? Worked wonders lmao
I was fortunate enough to see them on December 3rd last year in philly. Me and my brother were nearly the first people in and so we were literally as close to travis as you could possibly get. He was finishing off a scream and accidentally shot a fat load of spit directly in my face it was fucking sick
Angel Gonzalez aye same here haha they came to a tiny venue in Petaluma CA back in 2016 and he literally reached out and grabbed the back of my head to pull me close during Kingdom of Tyrants on that pre breakdown gutteral and I just got coated with spit lmao
Wow...just wow. Travis and the guys from Cattle Decap in a parody music video. This was perfect, especially with all the clips from the crazy people in our society, and the massive hoarding and insane actions they are taking. These lyrics are spot on to the times we are all facing!! Thanks for making my day with this video.
These lyrics overlaid with people digging their own graves partying and hoarding during a pandemic, along with leaders putting business interests before human lives.. that's some prophetic shit.
Stupid comment. Song writing and video-making are not done simultaneously. And the college-age demographic isn't much affected by covid-19 - they certainly aren't dying from it.
I still remembered my first time listening to this song back in late 2019, and in early 2020 I have a plan to go to Singapore on April but got cancelled because of lockdown since March 2020, and while I am work from home I blast this song all day.
Cattle Decapitation: "Bring back the Plague!" Corona: "Okay, here we go!" Btw, thank you guys for making such a video for the best song on Death Atlas. Stay safe!
This is honestly one of the most awesome songs I have ever heard in my life. I shall share this to even my non-metal friends and make them listen to it, even if they don't like it, they have to hear it. Thank you for making this.
Agreed. All other songs about viruses were released years ago. This album was released on the same month COVID-19 was first discovered. This is the most relevant song to the pandemic.
This is the kind of aggressive that my neighbors hate. I love that their music has some order in the midst of pure madness. Not just randomly smashing the drums and add some guitar there. Not complaining thats also chaotic and I enjoy it, but this is like methodically gnawing at your ears and it's such an awesome massage to my eardrums
Wouldn't it be typical and kind of fucked up if the virus mutates and kills everyone and the last cultural artifact of our civilization is a DVD version of Tiger King. XD
I'm that moron who had never heard of Cattle Decap until a few months ago, and this album was my first taste. I absolutely fell in love with the entire thing, but this song stood out to me and I've listened to it probably a hundred times in the last two months. Excellent job guys, the video was funny and worth the watch but godDAMNIT this song kicks ass.
I was just thinking one month ago that this song would be perfect for this coronavirus situation. Here we have the perfect video for it. You are the best, guys! I laughed my ass off!
Guitaris and bass: jamming, full writing technique, going hard af, any time of day or night. No hampering by coronavirus. Singer: can record with the highest quality, sending lyrics by text and discussing it over the phone. No hampering by coronavirus. Drummer: has sticks and air.
You guys are the one of the only bands to not only get better over time but have stayed ,for lack of a better word, faithful to your original sound but innovating at the same time been listening to you guys since I was in high school and I'm 31 now so yeah you guys are fuckin awesome
Involuntarily probably THE MOST “SiCKnificant” song of our generation. Had the absolute pleasure to see these guys live at Wacken. What a fucking Monster of a show.
I was listening to this the other day and thought they really to bring out a video of this and low and behold here we have such a relevant video for what we are going through.
