Ensure the economic viability of raising cattle while improving your woodlands and water resources. This video showcases silvopasture, a practice that combines sustainable management of forage, livestock and your woodlands. Managing your woodland for timber and forage can increase the time your cattle spend grazing and reduce the amount of hay or other feed used.
Join University of Minnesota Extension Educator and Cattle Producer Eric Mousel, and Forest Ecologist Sawyer Scherer, Blandin Paper Company as they explore the health of the aspen forest, forage and water quality on his family farm.
Educational direction by the University of Minnesota Extension agroforestry education team: Diomy Zamora, Gary Wyatt and Mike Reichenbach
Producer director: Audrey Favorito
