Those frame drops/game stutter happens to me mostly in large towns like Boise Idaho. It must be a game thing like you said, I thought I was the only one.. lol

The stutters are an easy fix just a ton of back end work has to go into it. Basically all they have to do is pre-cache all of the models and textures when you load into the sim so when the LODs kick in it doesn't tank performance. Overall, It will cause longer loading times, but less stutters so I think it's worth doing, and with SSDs and the speeds they can run at, it makes more sense to use that method

I love the sound of a 3406e ! Long live the peterbilt 379 ! I use the viper2 379/389 and the 379x mod from steam ! They’re sick trucks ! The 3406e has my favorite since black dog !

I love what SCS have done with the new lighting engine in the beta - its sooo much better! I was driving through New Mexico earlier today, and the way the brightness of the clear sky kind of bleached out the desert a little made me really pleased! I'd like some more reflections on the windscreen though - it still doesnt really have a prescence other than when rain hits it.
I'll admit, before I saw your Vid's I had no idea Track IR was even a thing. Now I won't play ATS or ETS2 without it. It's even made FS2020 and XP11 more enjoyable. Thanks for always using it!

Great video! Only place I at times experience drops are in Boise. Washington is fine for me, not sure what it could be though. I know you like lot of traffic, I prefer a bit less myself, especially on more remote roads it feels right.
Finally got my mods sorted out to get 1.4b working correctly. The lighting is fantastic, should have been this way from the beginning. Now I welcome night.
Those traffic mods are just too much trouble. I wish ATS would double their traffic, but that would be plenty. I always try those mods and they are just crazy. Better you than me.

Great vid Jeff, and man do I agree that we gotta fix some stuff on ATS in terms of stutters and gameplay. Like at 24:43 was ridiculous like there should be way more room merging on. And weirdly We both play on high settings I use almost the same mods as you but you play on a way more powerful PC than me and it seems like you are getting more lag than I do at the same exact spots that it occurs. Sorry for my rant just needed it off my chest, as always I love the videos man. Stay safe and stay blessed.
