Jared i truly appreciate your efforts, your videos are awesome!! Please keep them coming, i do so look forward to them!! You like “ go the extra mile “ For your viewers!! I love the added suspense!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
what a wild place. I wonder why they left one section to rot, but keep the other section in good shape? Does the owner not have the funds to tear the decaying part down? You got lucky he decided to let you go.
When you realized you had to go back when you're missing your keys and phone, I immediately thought of Bruce Willis' character in Pulp Fiction, Butch, when he goes back to the apartment to get his watch, knowing there may be issues. Another nail biter!
One thing that helped me during exploring is having little business cards made up. Be professional. Don't lie. When ask what you are doing immediately say, with a friendly smile, "HI my name is Jeff and I'm a photographer and researcher. I have a RU-vid channel that documents old and abandoned places. I'm not doing any harm and I'd like to ask if it's okay I document this wonderful place." I always mentioned a face I knew about the area, and then asked if they could tell me what they know about it. Start a conversation and build rapport. If yes, then give them your card and say thank you. Agree on terms and go about business. If no, then apologize and say thank you and then leave.
You were in AL? Ever thought about exploring Searcy Mental Hospital? Dozens of buildings on one campus but there is security so it helps to know what you're doing and where you're going before you get there.
Just looked it up, I totally would've if my Alabama tour had taken me far enough south, unfortunately I had to cut it off a little sooner so I never made it down that far.
i'm genuinely curious what is worth seeing inside a rundown abandoned building if it costs you possible jail time cuz it looks like it's mostly just trash and broken glass
10:59-11:35 Unintentionally hilarious “I swear I think they’re looking at me.” ☠️ well you did just stand there hoping to see them walk by a 3rd or 4th time 😂
You went into that ten story hospital in the front. Across the street were a row of houses and you went through a window in full view of several houses. Pay attention brother.
So the joke there was that in the hypothetical scenarios I may be talking to any sort of security or non-law enforcement, I'd give a laughably and obviously fake name "Jeff Jefferson" but I could tell this particular situation was turning more serious once I realized cops were already on their way and I wouldn't have time to escape, so I didn't fully go through with the Jefferson half and stuck to "just Jeff"
Don't need a criminal record , Kinda wild when you denied being in the building at first , Any advice starting out exploring abandoned places & or locations you might recommend if you don't mind me asking ??
My biggest tip for beginners which I think helped me a lot when I got started was to start small and easy with low risk places, then kinda level up as you go. It took me a while of just doing little farm houses and smaller warehouses and whatnot before I had the confidence to go do bigger stuff like schools or hospitals, or sneak into riskier type places that are more watched.
I remember when I was at a grad party. I accidently dropped my keys when doing the matrix. It was not good. I actually work in a building that has an abandoned portion. Its pretty cool. I did explore it without getting caught. It was very risky because there were staff members walking in the hallways and if I did get caught, I could have been written up.
I did like I said in the next video and put them all in my backpack, but imma be dead honest, literally two videos later they were right back in my pockets again. I'm for sure gonna be conscious about this though for any future video where I feel a necessary escape coming.
Man if it's not the cops run! Never run from the cops but citizens and security run. Getting caught can be the ending of you exploring If you want to be carful go in at 4-5 am and waif for the sun to come up to film.
@@JaredCokerUrbex after watching some of your other vids I can tell you are rather smart about this so trusting ur gut in that situation was probably the best way to go
Jared, I love your videos, but you really pose a safety risk to yourself. You should NEVER go in these old buildings without proper clothing and some kind of respirator; as you know, you could be breathing in really hazardous particles. Stay safe, my friend! Greetings from Pittsburgh. 👍
Yup...you should have blew as soon as you knew that motion detector went off. Sounded like your gut feeling was telling you to split so now you just have to listen to it! You had the plan to leave and watch to see if anyone showed up or seen any movement and thats exactly what you should have done. Better luck at the next!
@@georgevarkanis181 Sure I will, regardless, these adventures will always be worthwhile life stories, and trespassing charges are misdemeanors 90 percent of the time, nothing that would make someone un-hirable. I got a job right now, and another one at the ready, offered from people who personally know me and want me regardless whenever I'm ready to move to it.
