This Vietnam vet expresses his dissatisfaction with the parking situation at the Providence VA Medical Center.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming in to court is voluntary, in most cases. The majority of defendants come in to fight their ticket because they felt they were wrongly ticketed, or they have an excuse they'd like the judge to consider. People do have the option to mail in their payment.
These are real people, not actors. Please keep that in mind when you comment. They don't deserve negative scrutiny. Thank you.

Brilliant jugde. The law shouldn't be used as a sword. The man admitted his wrong doing and had no choice. It was the city's fault that insufficient parking was provided i guess

my cousin was speeding in a construction zone and the judge dismissed it because they both played guitar, now they jam on the regular

What I like about this man is that he put a great deal of effort and care into his plea. He didn't display a sense of entitlement or arrogance.

Because judge Judy is a drama specialist that catered to mostly the female audience and had a much larger platform, people that do the right thing usually get much less recognition.

I don't know how I got here, but I'm glad I did. I watched this video and thought the same way the Judged ruled. I wish we had more judges like this one, I still would like to see a follow through with the parking situation though. Our vets need care so badly we owe that to them. Thank you Sir for serving and thank you Judge Caprio for being a honest, caring good person.

Great judge who is always fair and very wise . My Uncle gave his life in Vietnam in 1968 . These guys that fought and made it home deserve every consideration . God bless.

They don't pay to park at VA - he was parked in a no raking street area. Very hard to park at VA - very crowded!!

As a Veteran and retired employee of the VA in Nashville TN, parking has always been and continues to be a frustrating problem for Veterans coming for services. Veterans had to regularly “stalk and park,” meaning they followed anyone in the park areas asking if they were leaving so they could park in their slot. Demoralizing! People would be in tears if they missed the appointment they waited 6 months for. Thank you, Judge for understanding the plight of our Veterans! 🇺🇸

I'm grateful for this channel and this wise judge. This video reminds me of my father, who also served as veteran for several years and used to get no help from the government, just because he lost his document to prove this experience. And I have seen so many times veterans on the streets in their old uniforms protesting against the unfair treatment or ignorance...

Saw Judge Caprio for the first time years ago on Parking Wars. Thought he was a fantastic judge and a wonderful person. I had no idea about this channel. The other day it popped up in my suggested video list. I immediately subscribed. Very glad this channel is around. Watching more videos confirms my initial impression of Judge Caprio, he's a wonderful person and a fantastic judge.

I know it's a day late, but I hope that our veterans had a Happy Veteran's Day yesterday & if any of you are reading this comment, I'd like to say thank you for your service and everything that you have done and continue to do for this country. You all deserve nothing short of the finest praise and the utmost respect (Vietnam veterans in particular) for all of the suffering you've had to endure, as well as the sacrifices you've made for the freedoms we possess. As a vet, normally I don't like the whole 'excuse anything I do or gimme extra ish because I served' I served because I chose to, we were also PAID and have access to very generous bennies... school, home loans etc I don't feel like I should be able to skip the line at every turn because of a few years of service... That being said, to be fair In cases like this, especially for older vets from WW2 or Vietnam etc If a guy/gal needs MEDICAL attention...of course they should get a break, all that should be required is a print out show the vet had an appointment that day = case dismissed, shouldn't even have to show up, just mail it back and call it a day.

when i was a cashier at kmart i shook the hand of each and every vet or active duty soldier that came through my lane, i wish they had vets discounts i would have happily given them.

This judge of course did the "right thing", but also explained about the difference of straight enforcement of the Providence parking ordinances , meaning equity for the city, etc. but tempered his judgement with the wisdom of a fair and understanding ruling on the matter. I don't know how hard is to park near the V.A. hospital of course, but if any American can understand that many soldiers went "over there" and came home with medical problems related to their servIce....well, this father of a Marine that went overseas several times, AND WAS FORTUNATE NOT TO HAVE TO GO TO THE V.A. HOSPITAL 3 times a week.....well, hey Providence R.I. Figure out something please, parking to get help should be the LEAST OF THEIR PROBLEMS!!!!

DARYL DIETRICH The parking in Providence is absolutely atrocious everywhere, but its even worse by the hospitals. In many places you can only park for 2 hours at a time, and then only between certain hours. Its pretty insane

I have been to many different VA hospitals and they all have parking issues. The one near me got so bad they built a parking lot 4 miles away and you have to take a shuttle. All the streets around all the hospitals are "permit only" parking so if the lot fills up you have no place to park. Unless you have handicap plates, you will get a ticket for permit only parking
