I have a 2000 honda accord and it periodically cranks and rpm goes to 0 my d4 light blinks and it sometimes it shifts automatically sometimes i have to manually put in 2 first to drive it I saw a video that said the lock up solenoid does this your opinion please thanks
Thank you, 🙏🏼 I have a 99 Accord that’s running lean that I’m currently troubleshooting so this is helpful. I changed one of the hoses yesterday…still misfiring…today I changed the MAP sensor…definitely feel a difference but still misfiring and so my next course of action is the once again check all the other hoses as well as the O2 sensor…fingers crossed 🤞🏼
I have an 08 Honda Accord and since it's starter was changed it has a check engine light on. I've changed the 4 spark plugs, the mass air flow sensor, the intake hose, the air filter, the coils, and gas treatment. Now the check engine light is flashing and the car looses power when acceleration is attempted. The computer says the bank 1,2 are misfiring what more can i do since none of the previously recommended fixes worked. Car has 101+ miles on it. Thanks for a response
Hi, my Accord Petrol 2.0 Gen 7, throws the error on motorway whilst cruising around 3000 revs. for 1/2 hour. Disconnecting the battery clears the fault until the next motorway trip. I changed plugs, & air filter, (can't find a MAF) by the air filter, I checked for vacuum leaks. Any idea what might causes the problem? Any help greatly appreciated.
Lean codes can be hard to troubleshoot since many things can cause them. If there is an inline fuel filter I would replace it, and I would also test the coil and fuel pump, as they may be weak and starting to fail.
Got this code but the trouble for me really is that the car, once hot, becomes no crank, no start until the car cools down? No other code shows up and no check engine light came on. I changed the two pgm relays behind the kick panel. I'm considering the ECT, because I heard that it reports to the computer that the air fuel ratio is cool, so the computer increases it thinking the engine is cold, and this causes a conflict leading to no crank, no start? Another possibility is the fuel pump & filter. This car has 290K miles on it so I'm sure it's very possibly a bad fuel pump. When the car starts the rpms sometimes drop quickly to 600 rpms. So, might you have any other suggestions? Which route should I try first, ECT or Fuel pump? This is an 07 Accord with a 2.4L, are there 2 ECTs or just the one at the bottom of the radiator? Thanks for any advice!
My check engine light comes on & I'll get this code when idled for an extended amount of time. Engine light turns off a day or so later under normal driving conditions.
