My primary DTC is EVAP CVS stuck closed in my 2005 Honda CR-V. The part to replace it at O'Reilly's is $161 and change plus tax. I need to know the total cost asap because I don't have the funds right now but I need it taken care of asap so if will not get pricier should something go wrong
Hey there! I have a 2006 Kia Sedona LX. I haven't had it but a little over a week. The Check Engine light came on a few days ago. I had the codes read and the codes were P0442, P0456 and P2422. I checked the gas cap. I don't see anything unusual or any cracks. The P2422 code says the EVAP System Vent Valve is stuck closed. Will it cause any damage with the valve being stuck closed? What are some of the symptoms it'll show with the valve being stuck closed? Thanks in advance!
With a bad vent valve, the vehicle won't pass an emission test. Sometimes, when the vent valve is stuck closed, the gas vapors cannot escape when filling the gas tank, which causes the gas pump to keep clicking off.
Hey, 2003 Honda Accord. Every start up chugs for anywhere from 3-15 seconds, usually takes longer the more I’ve driven it at a time. This code is the only one that gets thrown up, the P2422. Would this code or issue affect the startup of my vehicle? Or is that unrelated to my current situation.
