I did these same step because I had code p2422 on my Honda Accord … now I got code p0455 and did a smoke test and found that I have a leak coming out of that little box connected to the charcoal canister… how can I fix ?
How come the canister can go bad? It's a sealed unit. Some people saying they have P2422 after driving in the deep water. But I can't understand how water can get inside the canister.

Replacing the canister will clear the light surely ? I’m experiencing symptoms. I have trouble filling up my tank. Sometimes the nozzle shuts off before the tank is full. When it is full my gas reading jumps from 400 to 452 and back down to 400 . Any thoughts ?
@@ADDAUTOMOBILESERVICES I have scanned it , the only code I’m getting is P2422 ( vent valve stuck closed ) Also getting 83-11 PCM malfunction not sure if they are related
@@ADDAUTOMOBILESERVICES p2422 is what I have evap cvs stuck closed I was told to either replace the sensor 79.99 or clean the canister vent valve from spiders webs or replace that unit. Any recommendations for my problem? The car seems to be running fine it’s not in limp mode maybe a little lost power. I was told it could be the gas cap as well so I’m going to clear the code and make sure the gas cap is fully cleared and see if the check engine pops back on.
@@southernoregonmoversllc439 they do have that problem but pls check for voltage on the socket that connect the sensor if you get 12v or a voltage. Then change the canister they do have that problem and changing it will solve your problem.
