I have since bought a Nh35a movement and some watch repair tools and had a go at installing the new movement. The watch is back up and running and seems to be waterproof...
I just got mine via Amazon. The diver 2, 1000M. I love it. This watch is sweet for the price. I am actually impressed with the quality. I thought, I will get a bit of BS watch. It has been swimming with me and no issues at all.
What a bummer. I have the same watch and actually I own 3 other Ratio watches and I have absolutely no problem with any of them. The company is based in HK and yes, I would suppose trying to get some guarantee would be impossible to get by.
This probably applies with almost everything bought from the Far East and shipped to US, Europe or Australia, NZ. When I've had this problem I go straight to PayPal. Without exception if the seller doesn't honour the warranty I have received a chargeback.
Creation Watches and their 'grey market' competitors sell 'seconds'. Their watches have all been rejected, by the original manufacturer as not fit for sale. They are purchased by grey market dealers and sold to you with little or no refund policies.
Greetings from Wexford (the part that’s more or less a Dublin suburb 😉). Just added one of these to my Adverts watchlist & was searching new prices/reviews. Did you get sorted in the end? Did you find anyone who’d take a look? Unusual for a NH35 since they’re absolutely everywhere.
No joy I’m afraid. May buy a genuine Seiko NH35 and install myself. I see there area lot of Chinese made non genuine NH35s out there so I’m wondering if mine is a fake?
Quantity over quality watches are hit or miss. What do you expect from cheap watches? Don’t be so cheap and stick with a reputable watch brand like Citizen. If you do wish to be cheap, don’t complain when you get a lemon. My guess is that every 500 watches made includes several lemons. This applies to Steel Dive, Addheisive, Naviforce and Ratio. Sorry you got a lemon but honestly? You kinda asked for it.
The central point: Any customer that purchases "a lemon" that was was sold with a one year warranty should be entitled to redress if the product fails within the first year...To be clear: I didn't "kinda ask Ratio to not honour their warranty I never asked for any sympathy either I was just trying to helkp other folks so my intentions were good but in you I detect schadenfreude - an ugly trait
I assume you live in the United States. For bringing it from Singapore the final purchase price was increased or the final cost in your hands was the one indicated on Ebay?
No I’m in Ireland and the cost on eBay was the cost paid. The transaction went smoothly and without any issue. The problem began and ended when the watch broke down and you know what happened then from the video
@@frankosullivan9114 oh geez. IDK if i should try to cancel my order or what. its an expensive watch for some broke dude like me, and i guess i'll fix it if i need to. i just hope it comes in good working condition cause i dont know how to use the watch repair tools yet. don't want to invest more dough into fixing a brand new watch. we'll see... it's supposed to arrive early next week
