3 facts that i only know about Brazil... 1. Pele 2 Sepultura@Cavaleras brother 3. Trio of Doom (Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho) Greeting from Malaysia...😃😃😃
Na verdade eu gosto muito da primeira. Old School era tosco mesmo, porém original. É dali que tudo começa. E ouvir reconstruído é gratificante demais 🔥
Max and Igor, hello dudes! I am your old fan from Uzbekistan. A very cool album and this is where my passion for Sepultura started! In our country, in my childhood, it was very difficult to get records of such bands as Sepultura, and then one day, when I went to a music store, I saw an mp3 disc (naturally pirated) on the counter of the store where all the albums with Max's vocals were recorded, from the first up to Roots, and I set myself the goal of getting this disc by all means! I had some money, which, imagine yourself, I found on the street one early snowy morning, I was walking and suddenly there was a wad of money in front of me, there was not a lot but not a little, and so I got money for the Serultura disc and this was the start of my long fan journey! Dudes, just imagine what that meant to me back then, that was my life! I sit and almost cry! You are very dear to me!
i'm not into re-recording/reworking things, it usually ends up ruin the original works, but this one and morbid vision is exceptional, this record is totally pay respect to originals
These Re-recordings are so genius and from the best out there in the Thrash community. They are literally making me hear Sepultura records all the way from scratch. Cavalera did the right thing here. I love Bestial Devastation, it's a pure display of old school Death Thrash, though the Morbid Visions re-recording takes the toll here. Bestial Devastation is on par with classics like Seven Churches. Amazing EP which makes the EP+album amalgam perfect. Now I can't wait for a new re-recording of the classic BENEATH THE REMAINS. Now Beneath The Remains is on par with Reign in Blood sort of thing. An influencing masterpiece from all the sides. There was never a big 4 four Thrash bands from Brazil. There was only SEPULTURA, and Sepultura heart remains within the Cavalera brothers.
i love they kept that old school reverb, this production did so good to keep the feel of the original, and Igor's playing being produced so well, killer!
This version of "Antichrist" really shows how important this EP was to the very early days of death metal. To quote Don from Nunslaughter: the first two releases are straight up death metal.
@@calebbean1384 Wrong. Possessed became more thrash in "Beyond the Gates". Compare Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, Slayer, Sodom, Kreator, Destruction and there's a death metal ocean of difference. The Difference between the original "Bestial Devastation" and "Seven Churches" is that the Bay Area dudes were faster and better produced. Possessed was "The Exorcist" (movie, not the song) and Sepultura was "The Omen" (movie) as far as death metal goes. And by "Morbid Visions" the necro production and de-tuning made the Seps more close to black-metal than Possessed
The re-recordings are excellent, I hope they team up with Jairo for an insanity tour, as he is doing great on Troops of Doom. Now we expect the Cavalera brothers to make real metal like Sepultura was in the 80's, insane high quality death thrash. Greetings from SP!!
Max is doing death thrash metal for last 15 years. Every CC album is more brutal than predecessor but people tend to ignore that band. Soulfly is not nu meal band since Dark Days. Pandemonium is on par with everything he has done in Sepultura heyday.
Problem with Troops of Doom and even this 2 releases is the vocals. They both channel their 1992 The Mist or Sepultura incarnations instead of the Linda Blair green puke vocals of the EP and "Morbid Visions". That and the production, still its cool they are doing it. For years they had thrown out that material into the garbage can and in the 2010s they realised again how cool it was for the death and black metal genres (thrash scene for the most part never acknowledged those records... because only 1/3 of it is thrash)
Wow, I didn't expect this to be so good. They did a TREMENDOUS job of capturing the atmosphere of the original, right down to the stripped-down and primitive production. I'm sure it is beyond tempting to use modern studio magic (as well as Nuclear Blast production budget, haha) to make things sound squeaky clean but that would have just sounded wrong here.
There is nothing preventing artists from using modern studio equipment to do whatever they want with it. They are just tools. There is virtually no "magic robbed". That's just a complete myth. It's a matter of mixing and the approach of production they choose to have.
Unlikely. They would probably have to seek Andreas' permission to release it, and considering the fact that the Cavalera bros didn't let him use Sepultura songs for that Endurance documentary, I'd say he would counter them, not giving his permission for such thing.
AHHHHHHHHHH!!! hell yeah!!! Sounds fucking great!! Gave me goosebumps, fuck. Going to buy the album and already bought tickets to my city concert! Total support!. Puta que pariu, muito foda!! Arregacou.

NECROMANCER!! One of the heaviest bands in the history of music and the brothers have remade a perfect monument to all heavy music in my opinion. Love it!!
This sounds better right now on my tablet than it did on the boombox I had back in high school. Great job guys! Can't wait to hear it with actual volume!!!
Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation was one of my first Metal-CDs when I was 10 years old. And my first Metal-CD was "Anti Cimex-Scandinavian Jawbreaker".
@@dude6658 Eh, the originals don't even sound that bad. The drum recording quality is questionable, but it sounds pretty great for a proto-death metal demo released in 1985.
WOW!!!!!! As a long time Sepultura fan (with the Cavalera bro's) this is like a fresh album to my ears. They couldn't have done better. Sounds old af, but new af. On the top- of the list of a new album to own.
Greeting from Indonesia. This is the most rare item , SSR lol, back in the early '90 when Sepultura gained famous in Indonesia. Me myself never heard this until RU-vid era where we can dig our nostalgia and hidden gems . Thanks for uploading this. indeed amazing album.
fuckkkkkk..... que som incrivel!!! ficou bom demais. Felizmente já estao a caminho os meus 2. Que bela prenda de aniversario este ano!! Obg Max & Igor. 🤟💀
Back in september 1986 I gone to Slaughter Festival and had the chance to see all this began! I need this new/old piece of brazilian Metal history in my hands! Cheers real old Sepultura...
Now I'm feeling old. Bought the Morbid Visions + Bestial Devastation combo remaster at 15-16 years old in 2006. Haven't heard 'em in years and now almost 20 years later these drop. Can't imagine how someone who listened to these in 1986 feels right now lol. Sounds great, though. I hope they do a new Schizophrenia as well.
Re-recording Schizophrenia is very unlikely. They would probably have to seek Andreas' permission to release it, and considering the fact that the Cavalera bros didn't let him use Sepultura songs for that Endurance documentary, I'd say he would counter them, not giving his permission for such thing.
Now this is what I call REAL METAL from the Depths of Brazil... NOT that Tribal CRAP that Sepultura started doing in the mid and late 90's onward banging sticks together and bopping on bongo's and sh*t!... when they started doing that sh*t I totally went off of them... but now Max and Igor are back and going back to their roots of real Metal and I F*CKING LOVE IT!... This is how they need to stay! 🤘😈🤘
@filip_lund Well Dude I speak my mind always have and I'm not afraid to say it how it is, and I don't give a damn if it does offend people... not my problem, and if they don't like it?... Tough!... what I said here on my post I meant every damn word of it!... when Sepultura started doing that Tribal F*cking Sh*te it totally put me right off the band and their music and I'd only listen to their early stuff from Morbid Visions to the Arise albums Arise being my favourite out of them all, but when they did Chaos A.D and Roots onward I was like... WHAT DA F*CK IS THIS F*CKIN SH*TE?!!! 😐 But now Max and Igor have gone back to how they were back in the 80's and early 90's with just keeping it Metal and I F*cking love it! 🤘😈🤘
i got teary-eyes when i listen to this, been a long time old sepultura, nostalgic, they keep the original vibes, so happy they revived this. i love it!!!!
Excelentes discos Bestial devastation y Morbid visions
Unlikely. They would probably have to seek Andreas' permission to release it, and considering the fact that the Cavalera bros didn't let him use Sepultura songs for that Endurance documentary, I'd say he would counter them, not giving his permission for such thing.
@@PedroHenrique-mj1mn Andreas and Paulo jr were not members of sepultura when recording these two albums (Paulo jr in schizofrenia yes), so they did not need permission to re-record these songs. Instead cavalera and Jairo are the original SEPULTURA
This sounds like the four men of the apocalypse approaching, love it. It is easy to write something that is extreme but hard to write something extreme and good.
I love the sound on the "Bestial Devastation/Morbid Visions" release from back in the day but when I heard the brothers were re-visiting them I couldn't wait to hear it. Has not disappointed and the artwork is absolutely solid too!!!!!!
