Cavaliers MUST trade Darius Garland to build around Donovan Mitchell | Nerd Sesh 

Man…these trade ideas are insane. Jon Isaac? Lou Dort? Are we drinking? How is Dort a substantial upgrade over Okoro? How is Isaac useful at all? Crazinesss. 😊

Every time I hear people call Mobley a full time 5, and suggest the Cavs trade Allen, I know they aren't worth listening to.

Garland for Mikhal Bridges (and Shroder just to make the numbers work). The Nets also add a 1st somewhere down the road to get Garland.

Garland for Ingram straight up really isnt bad. This little teenager on the left has it backwards though. Garland is better than Ingram, and the Pels may need to add a late first to make it work.

The only prob with starting Mobley at C is it's a waste of his defensive talents. He held Poalo Banchero to 28% shooting one on one in the Magic series, but when Allen was out & Mobley played C, Banchero took advantage of Mobley not covering him and went nuts in games 5, 6 & 7.

Don is the most prolific scorer in the league, and that's not a hot take. So LET him be the primary and only creator, get three athletic 6'7" dudes that can shoot (who gives af if they can dribble or pass), keep your prolific center (Mobley), have somewhat competent backups, and you now have a true contender.

I know the money probably doesn’t make sense but I would love to be able to turn Garland & Allen into Naz Reid & Trey Murphy or Jon Isaac & Trey Murphy

No on the JA trade. I want the Ingram deal way more.

I think these are some of the worst trades I've seen this year. Allen would ruin OCK's five out offense. Dort and Joe would add to Cleveland's problem of not having enough size at the 1,2,3. Don, Strus, Okoro, Dort, Joe, and Cole. All 6'5 and under Jonathan isn't a spacing upgrade over Allen. He is a guy who thinks he can shoot but can't. Which is worse than a guy who knows his limitations. Garland is worth way more than Jonathan, who can't even play games and Cole Cavs need a big wing who can shoot like a PG Only Magic win.

That Orlando trade is absolute garbage. Cleveland is not sacrificing a young star point guard for some role players. Stop it. And vefore someone comes in with the word "regression" again, dude broke his jaw, lost a ton of weight abd is struggling to play next to Mitchell. The SECOND Garland can run his own offense again he will he a star again.

As a cavs fan the first trades you mentioned bringing in Isaac and Dort would be great additions with Mobley/Mitchell duo.

Yes!!! Garland is clearly a liability now for the Cavs. When he came back from injury, the Cavs struggled. They need to unload Garland asap if they have any hope of re-signing DM. There is some kind of conflict going on between these two.

Mobley and the Cavs needs a brute enforcer/monster rebounder to spell him or play alongside him. They also need a tall athletic wing (6'9 +) who can defend AND score. Garland will be a workable trade IF he goes to a team where he can be in charge of the ball without any competition from a backcourt teammate.

Allen was hurt in game 4 played well the first couple so saying how bad they played with him makes about as much sense as those trades atleast in my opinion but to each his own God Bless

None of these trades make any sense for the other team .No GM is going to just give away assets . The players mentioned will command better packages elsewhere. Cavs just dnt have the assests" limited picks " without giving up cornerstone pieces .Mitchell is more than likely to be traded or lost in free agency.

Trade Garland and Okoro to Minnesota for Jaden McDaniels and a 1st rd. draft pick. We get a long wing who can score and defend at a high level. Garland gets mentored by fellow Indiana high school legend Mike Conley Jr.. We move Craig Porter Jr. to the starting PG because he is a plus defender and rebounds better than Garland. We also lock McDaniels and Emoni Bates in a weight lifting room all summer until they come out 20 lbs. stronger!.. Strus comes off the bench and Niang becomes a vet player/coach like Tristan.

Mobley had a decent series because it wasn't really intense from the Cs it wasn't a close series but against ORL he didn't look as good so let's see I doubt Mobley can play the 5 which Is what he needs to do IMO we all know Allen will go due to "potential" Cavs need to build around Mitchell.. Long athletic wings is possible..Keep Strauss, Vert Wade and the other guy that killed Cs in regular season forgot his name

If you’re ok with Chet at the 4 then why not throw some money at Hartenstein instead? As a Knicks fan this REALLY hurts but as a game enjoyer this works better than Allen

Love your stuff guys...I don't see any team wanting Darius Garland. Contract is huge (due to make 40 mil!), and almost every team has a PG they like.

Allen and Garland for Klay and Kaminga

Strongly disagree with what’s been proposed. Trading Garland for Ingram straight up, for example, is a head scratcher. Garland has 4 more years left on his contract, while Ingram is on an expiring. How is Ingram the player of more value? The reality is both of these players underperformed so badly that their teams were bounced because of it.

Ingram is overrated and only signed for 1 more year!
