CAVATINA
"Cavatina" is a 1970 classical guitar piece by British composer Stanley Myers written for the film ‘The Walking Stick’. This piece was popularised as the theme from The Deer Hunter some eight years later only. The Italian musical term cavatina is frequently applied to any simple, melodious aira or a short operatic aria.
Here we have one of the Barnard brothers playing his version of this beautiful musical composition. Fanie Barnard, like the rest of his family brother muso’s, continuous to exercise his musical talent and plays in the band “The Waterfront” which visits where the gig’s lead them. Fanie especially like Rick Barnard his younger brother has an empathetic authenticity towards what music can evoke in a person and similarly to Ricardo Bornman himself, is always ready to bring happiness, light hearted, and sometimes deep serious and special moments to the audience’s ears. Wanting to make the world a happier place entertaining people with ‘good music’ and continuing the family music legacy. For your listening pleasure herewith.
